Games were much shorter, typically right levels. Developers wanted harder games to make up for how short they were and make you feel you were getting your money's worth. At the same time, whoever said this never played any games by From Software.
Hell yeah! So much for Xbox being easier to develop for. What good is it to have the most powerful hardware when it can't run right. Stable is more important than powerful it sounds like. So, good job Sony. You've already outsold Xbox Series X. Developers are saying they like PS5 more already, maybe it's "contraints" make for a much better gaming experience keeping things stable and consistent.
Xbox One X has problems? Wasn't Microsoft's consoles always easy to develop for?
Sony will get royalties for everyone Microsoft sells, probably worth it in Microsofts eyes to keep up with Sony given how much money Microsoft has to dump into crap like this. Microsoft can't afford to fall beyond this time around at any cost, even if it means ripping off every idea Sony has to mirror Sony's console and not lose.
This is a brilliant idea to solve the memory crisis. Would be cool if PS5 looks like the SEGA Saturn with the RAM cart expansion.
Put it on PS4 and I'm in.
That's precisely the problem, why do we need the Xbox Series X if that's what it is and all its game are available through "Play Anywhere" with Games for Windows? Once Sony starts making that same mistake, the need for a PlayStation suddenly dies too and the race is on for Sony competing with HP, Dell, and Lenovo with the Viao. They've already started with Detroit Become Human, Death Stranding, and now Horizon Zero Dawn.
I'm going to say it: Kutara...
Copying Sony, never innovative.
Uh... GTA, what about Shenmue? A SEGA game anyway?
They aren't. Smartphone games suck, Uncharted isn't on a smartphone, neither is Ghost of Tsushima or InFamous. The Last of Us isn't, I could go on and on.
Microsoft are gonna take him, they're dumb enough.
That's what they always say, they don't wanna appear weak. That's business for ya, a lot like politics. Really they're not much different but, diplomatic answers to avoid seeming weak, yeah.... Nintendo do rely on innovation, and innovation bid what the gaming industry needs, not this off the shelf parts b.s., that's exactly why the PS5 and XboneSX are neck and neck, no innovation unlike Kutaragis contributions.
The title for this article is NOT necessary. Unfortunately, there's no way to downvote or file a complaint on this article. That's really not necessary.
So Microsoft wants to kill off gaming consoles? What benefit is this to the console cause? If Xbox One is going to do this, then Series X is going to do the same thing. Microsoft wants to kill consoles and send everything back to PC. Lame.... I hate you Microsoft, you wanna put an end to my gaming console.
I think it's going to be less about power adopting the Apple model of mid gen upgrades to try and stay on top, Sony's not gonna play that game, they're smarter than that wasting time and resources on marketing, they're gonna play the game more like Nintendo and Microsoft will still roll in last place because their first-party still sucks the big one, partly because they're so focused on online gaming versus Sony's discovery of story based gameplay proven to be more com...
I love this stuff. Sure they max out the hardware, but then Sony first-party developers make a game that looks far more stunning than any third-party developer and in a much more efficient way. So, I take this with a grain of salt or write it off completely.
How could you not? Sony has a solid first-party second to none!
Consoles are dead.
Not impressed.....
I save ya having to read the article. Epic Games has exclusive publishing rights for Remedy, PlayDead and the developer of ICO, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian.
