I beg to differ. As a long time huge fan of the series, this was a huge step back and missed opportunity to pull out in front of Sony with huge titles on the horizon, and it's dared to challenge Resident Evil 2 and Death Stranding for Game of the Year and doesn't stand a chance. For Xbox fans, yeah, it's gonna be something special, but the rest of the gaming world knows better. They know Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding, and The Last of Us Part II are ever nearer (even though I ...

Better games. Gears 5 was a missed opportunity in a lot of ways. Microsoft should port the original trilogy to, yup, the PS5 to capitalize on their investment. They're old and Xbots aren't playing them anymore but many PlayStation fans wouldn't mind giving it a go. Microsofts fear is what's killing them, the whole reason they bought the IP. If you asked honest Epic Games CEO, he'd tell you they were getting ready to port to PlayStation and Microsoft caught wind and swooped...

Wish it was longer and more like Nintendo Direct.

It won't. Insomniac and Sony want to do new things, this is old news.

Developers are wanting to expand to PC to reach a bigger audience, but now even PC is becoming like consoles. With consoles it's either: Nintendo, Xbox, or PlayStation but if you go wider audience PC, youre falling into the funnel of Windows, Steam, or Epic Games Store. Just how intelligent are game developers? PC is it's own platform with equally as many complications and just as limiting. Today, you might as well play the console exclusive game and at least get in on a fanbase that&...

Games. Innovation used to exist with PS3 but now, sadly, it's all off the shelf parts. PS3 lasted 10 years and dragged the 360 behind it.

This doesn't mean anything. Use logic here. It's trying to place a piece of dookie on a pedestal. Microsoft screwed up big time this generation and they're not going to be able to recover, it's people trying to give them a trophy for a good job when they come in dead last, kind of like n4g. You have to coddle people and such up, not speak the truth or they block you saying your trolling, their words not mine, or something. This is the millennial mentality. Coddle them, and the...

It can't be that hard to port seeing as how the Xbox One and PS4 are the same internal components. That's the whole point of off the shelf parts vs innovation in hardware Sony once had and gave up, so it shouldn't be that hard.

Ray Tracing is what PS5 is based on? The next generation of consoles is moderately advanced lighting? Why should we be excited then? Where's photo realism? High resolution textures instead of SNES resolution textures? That's next gen huh? You want $600 for that, eh? I'm not sold then. Another generation of ports, yippee.......

Because that's what Shenmue fans want, more of the same, we want closure, not an empty void. Shenmue III is just what we want, the old days.

I hate open world games. I don't recall his name but it was the developer of The Witness that stated his game "eliminated all of the filler". That's all an open world game is, filler. You waste majority of your time running from one end of the map to the other racking up gaming hours, this was a complaint of Days Gone. Even the developers recognize this as a problem as they've created "Fast Travel" but it has to accessed later in the game. See, gamers feel in o...

Now, while this is great to hear, is this really the best takeaway from Gamescon? What's going on with The Last of Us, Ghost of Tsushima, Dreams, etc.? What's going on?

Sega had a similar relationship after Castle of Illusion. Marvel, mind you isn't Disney though they were bought by Disney and they've got to understand Sony are trying to keep Spider-man what he is, it's what Sony has, it has value to Sony, and they're being very careful not to disgrace him. This is something Disney has to appreciate as they feel about Mickey Mouse. Sony has resources and Insomniac learned this. Developing games isn't always about just developers, occasion...

Why does this keep happening, and why are we reviewing decades old games? Every time SEGA re-releases this game, and others in the same fashion, the review scores get lower and lower, completely taking away from how awesome the game used to be.......

There's probably a lot we don't know. Is this what caused Sony to state some first-party games may not be PlayStation exclusives? Is this what Ted Price agreed to when he signed, his stipulation? He has Oculus games in the works he's apparently committed to. He also can't deny on PS4 when he works with Sony he finds more success. Sunset Overdrive was a good game, but it did poorly compared to Spider-man and Ratchet and Clank. No matter how he chooses to slice it, he knows Sony...
