From the sounds of it, Sony's innovation with hardware this go around is going to be worth it no matter how Microsofts tries to undercut the PS5. Tim Sweeney (CEO of Epic Games) praises the hardware as something everyone needs and far ahead of any PC or platform. That says a lot. Sony have covered all their bases. PS5 isn't just a graphical hardware upgrade, it's a revamping of the entire gaming experience covering graphics (GPU) Audio (3D Audio Processing using Cell) Feel (Haptix...
Cool.
Yup, because Naughty Dog have become too political. What's worse, their ego is so inflated, they don't care and still insist on doing things their own way. They're not paving the road of the future, they're not breaking down barriers, they're not telling the story everyone wanted to be told, no, they're just pissing off their fanbase that wanted to be with them for the ride, but can't. I talk to a lot of people that are casual gamers too and, surprisingly, contrary...
The game isn't released yet and they're talking about DLC, hm..... What's odd about this? Why is it DLC? You pay $60 plus for this game, you should get it all for $60. I hate DLC. They disect the game and then sell it off piece by piece, this is robbery.
If you're living in denial, but I guess someone has to defend Microsoft. (It was a horrible and ametuer first look.)
Microsoft really have no idea what they're doing. This is their third console gen and they're still playing it like they're oblivious to what gaming is and how the business is done.
I keep going back to "Gears of War: Road to E3" that's on YouTube and on the Bonus Disc for Gears of War Special Edition on Xbox 360 where it shows just how Microsoft does business. They're out of touch with gamers and everyone that knows Microsoft knows they watch ...
Not really. They always do this, and then devs bail. It's marketing, the smarter and wiser know better. I mean, who'd wanna work with Aaron Greenberg, honestly.
@ Dissidia Then that's what they should've shown, but Microsoft was far too afraid of playing their hand early and it's hurting them. Consumers are now believing the Xbox Series X is underwgelming, bad first impression, all Sony has to do now and show their first-party to up Microsoft and show they're not afraid to display their talent. Microsoft holding back was a big mistake with this.
It goes to show how out of touch Microsoft are with gamers. They've been in the business now for how long, Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One (Xbox One X if you wanna take it a step further) and they still just don't get it. They're still amaturs, but you'll always be that way when you observe and then just copy others. Sony has experience and they show it time and time again over, but Microsoft, they just don't know the gaming industry. Phil Spencer was supposed to be their gre...
Yawn. This guys like Donald Trump. You had your chance to make a strong first impression because first impressions are everything and you blew it. Sony can now sit back and relax and prepare a lot more, come back, and blow the doors off. "This is the War on Play, we're about to show you how the big boys play now, not that ametuer showing as little of our hand as possible putting ametuer developers on the front line, no, we're about to show you the power of PlayStation in the War ...
Yup. If Microsoft having the most powerful games console produces this, then power isn't everything and Sony found a unique enough spin on their console to stand out. Most of the games shown I can play on my PS4 Pro, and likely will. Now Xbox Executive Fanboy is going to hit the internet like Donald Trump to try and excuse away their horrible first impression, what is it they say about first impressions? Microsoft blew it, Sony can now take their time and blow the doors off with "We&...
Honestly, it didn't excited me at all for Next Generation. It really felt like: Just go back to the drawing board. I asked myself several times, why don't I just get these on current gen consoles, and that may be the case. I usually get consoles at launch but, that may not be the case here, there may be an abundance of consoles because everyone's asking, why do I need a minor upgrade? I'll wait for a mid gen refresh an keep gaming on what I have now, since that's what like...
Man, Sony sure knows how to market their games. Create a crisis and BAM! You've got everyones attention and the media cover it like crazy. The only sad thing is that Sucker Punch were forced to take the back seat when they were right on schedule and doing what they needed while Naughty Dog slacked off, so when Naughty Dog whines and cries, they get what they want and everyone, including the fans, have to take the backseat and wait because Naughty Dog get what they want..... Are you happy ...
Microsoft is forced too. They're not doing this because they're good guys, they're doing it because their bottom line is under attack and they can't bear scorn. Sony whooped them and they can't have that. Problem is, consumers have already been scorned and unless Sony does something to really trip up, Sony will maintain their lead and Microsoft will remain where they're at. Business and politics are the same, it's people telling you what you wanna hear. This is all...
It's too bad SSD or HDDs as a whole are so expensive. Consumers will constantly be having to download, install, uninstall, redownload, reinstall. Games are too big and storage is too expensive. Why can't games go back to cartridges where there was no streaming off the disk, that's what's killing games and load times. In the days of the Genesis and SNES, there were no load times. What about the Vita, no UMD, fast load times.
The consoles are so much alike that Microsoft even copy and paste Sony's responses as their own. They talk about the SSD the exact same way Cerny did.
My question is, if they design these consoles in secret behind closed doors, and everyone that sees anything for the consoles have to sign a no disclosure agreement signing their lives away, look at how different the PS3 was and how innovative everything was in that thing while the Xbox 360 was essentially a PC, versus no...
Not impressed, it looks like a PS4 game.
Or, they can give you the game you paid for instead of disecting it and sell you what you should already own later down the road. That's robbery.
Crying shame they felt they had to leave Sony. It's not like the PlayStation fantasy is tiny, no, the PS4 is highest selling console with the biggest install base, how is that a problem? PC or Xbox One or Switch exclusive I can see the concern but not PS4. Did Sony tell them they were on their own? You know Microsoft grins over this stuff knowing they took something extremely valuable from Sony, and they market the crop out of it and then what? Offer them a big fat check to acquire them, ...
I think they're jealous. They still lack any humility though. Still stuck up and arrogant as always.
