I am afraid I can't allow that....

Nice. This is a must play and by far the best of QD’s titles (although I have huge love for Heavy Rain).

No combat hud/menu displayed so I’m also wondering how combat works.

I would guess there may be series of questions like in Kingdom Hearts or perhaps intro tasks that might determine how you think (testing your Karma) and that set up the way the sorting hat chooses. Good = Gryff; Bad = Slyth; Neutral = Raven; Undecided = Huff…

“Less a Zelda and basically a Souls-like”

The flavor of the year is really becoming “punishment” as a genre category. I’m mixed on Souls-esk games. Hollow Knight was great so maybe this will click too.

I don’t know why it didn’t get many reviews or nominations after it was previewed very well from big sites like IGN. It as if something happened to where they were not supposed to review it or they were not allowed to review it. I don’t know if it has to do with the fact that this is a Chinese developer but the team really did a wonderful job on this game. It is definitely a love letter to the series and there’s a lot of love to classic games and media culture in here too.

Best Metroidvania of the year. I was truly blown away by its design and I had a great time platinum’ing both PS5 and 4 versions.

I wish someone could explain why BOTW is a 10/10. It’s probably one of the most mediocre open world games and far to the bottom of any Zelda title. Game ran like crap at many times and “minimalism” is an excuse for bad open world pacing.

1. start the game
2. git gud
3. run if not got gud
4. enjoy!

Maybe. The demo was pretty mediocre both in gameplay and visuals.

KH3 and Ratchet aren’t really small hand friendly for the dexterous of gameplay or the amount of complexity in larger worlds. KH3 requires menu navigation during action RPG combat and Ratchet games are chaotic and strategic with the weapon wheel and platforming.

I bought RDR2 day one and got bored of it too. But it just wasn’t the time to play it. I picked it back up last year and played it on PS5. What a masterpiece of game design, storytelling, and world design. 97 Meta doesn’t mean it’s for everyone and for me, it wasn’t at the time but I am glad I restarted it. It’s a great game but truly does take committed time to experience.

I recommend Twin Breakers. A much better game.

I wish N4G would get spoilers out the gate better.

I think it’s just the robots. Per the tracker in the menu, there are 40+ or something. I think the kicker is not scanning some of the bosses that are only fought one time. I’m only 5 hours in and not even 10% done with the first alcove area.

Just remake HD2D Chrono Trigger already.

No spoilers but it’s to scan all machines. So scan all the robots with hard focus and don’t forget to scan all bosses too.

This one went under my radar for a long time but thankfully because of PlayStation plus, I decided to check it out. Absolutely one of the most incredible narrative story driven games in years. Definitely a rival if you liked the last of us. I really appreciate how creative each area was as both a puzzle and an intense action scene. Lots of lore and exploration and just beautiful on PlayStation 5. Definitely going to buy Requiem when it drops.

“There's also a suspiciously familiar gliding system that you'll almost certainly recognise from Breath of the Wild – why not just allow free climbing with a stamina meter at this point?”

I really would like these reviewers to get up out of BOTW’s ass already. They act as if BOTW invented everything for the open world genre and think it’s the be-all-end-all for reviewing other games in comparison.

I’d like to see an indie studio tackle Comix Zone. Absolutely creative idea that could use a next gen approach.

If you didn’t like HZD, this won’t be interesting to you in my opinion. If you liked the first one, this game is just incredible on all new levels. It’s definitely the sequel I hoped for.
