This episodic GTA IV installment sounds good...I really want to be excited about it, but the problem is I am in the minority to access and get this content when it releases. There is no micro-transactions and Xbox LIVE in my location, which is Malawi, Africa. Being a developing country, the Internet here is still SLOW; therefore, no DLC. My hope is that maybe in the near future, probably after the second episode releases, Microsoft/Rockstar will do a DISC-based retail version of the episodic ...

The "Working Extremely Hard" statement could be a probable hint/sign Remedy is in crunch mode working towards completing development and releasing Alan Wake this year.
SPLINTER CELL CONVICTION was announced exclusively for the Xbox 360 and PC back in 2006.
Splinter Cell started its life on the Xbox...it was meant to be exclusive to the console. But due to its critical and commercial success, Ubisoft later decided to develop Splinter Cell for other platforms (PlayStation 2, GameCube, Windows, Mac OS, and the Mobile systems). When Conviction was announced, it was stated that this fifth installment will be console exclusive to the Xbox 360 as homa...
It was obvious from the moment BioWare was bought by Electronic Arts that Mass Effect would go multi-platform. It is now just a matter of time BioWare/EA confirms this rumor.
I doubt the statement "the current state of the economy" is the main reason they are going multiplatform. EA probably went multi-platform with the trilogy long before the economy took the wrong turn. EA's of doing things has always been about maximizing sales from its portfolio of games on the avai...
With the screw-up of 50 Cent Bulletproof, I'm not in the least bit interested in its sequel.
Both versions look identical though the Xbox 360 version seems to have better shadowing and texture output than its PlayStation 3 counterpart. But despite the minor noticeable graphical differences between the two versions, this comparison shouldn't be the measure to judge which version is the best. Resident Evil 5 on the Xbox 360 is the same Resident Evil 5 on the PlayStation 3.
I am certain when Resident Evil 5 releases, players will enjoy their version of the game just as they...
Neither of three mentioned can pull off the character that is Kratos
NEED FOR SPEED is a good franchise, but it was getting stale with each new release after MOST WANTED. Electronic Arts has failed the franchise due to the nature of developing and releasing in a short period of time.
From the presented voting list, only four games are on my shopping list: Fable II; Fallout 3; Gears of War 2; and Resistance 2...Gears of War 2 being at the top of the list. But if I were to pick one this holiday season, Fallout 3 would be it. The reason is that I am a single-player gamer; out of the single-player modes in each of the four mentioned games, Fallout 3 has the longest playtime...over 100 hours.
The FORCE may be strong with the Xbox 360, but the POWER of the DARK SIDE is enticing. I think the factors are the special guest characters in each of the consoles...Yoda versus Dark Vader.
This news/rumor is BOGUS on a galatic scale. There's so much reference from the novels (esp. THE FALL OF REACH) that backs-up the nature of this false rumor regarding the story
I thought the same thing when I watched the Stormrise trailer - the story concept is very similar to Fracture. Stormrise seems like an RTS Fracture with an additional faction but without TD (Terrain Deformation).
The HALO frachise belongs to Microsoft; therefore, it will remain exclusive to Microsoft's systems (Xbox and/or Windows PC). The business between Bungie and Microsoft will be on contract basis.
Gearbox Software is not a small time developer. It has about 200 employees and is one of few independent developers with an in-house motion capture studio; therefore, they're not short on manpower and recourses. Beside HELL'S HIGHWAY, the studio is also working on two PS3/X360 titles: BORDERLANDS and ALIENS COLONIAL MARINES, which I'm anticipating. Gearbox is one of my few favourite developers because they make high-profile (polished) games - I've never been disappointed with their products. ...
I was displeased last week about Treyarch's negative remarks about Gearbox Software and its Brothers in Arms series. They have done well to apologize. But I still feel the remarks made have grown in people who will compare and judge the better game between CALL OF DUTY WORLDS AT WAR and BROTHERS IN ARMS HELL'S HIGHWAY.
My fellow gamers, the thing to keep in mind is that in this industry, developers/publishers know how to generate hype. Here we are in the forums fighting one another about Diablo 3 (PC) to also come to either PS3 or X360. Currenlty, all we know is the game is being built for the PC, which is the system Blizzard has embraced for many years now - that's were their development efforts and resources are. Therefore, until Blizzard makes an official statement regarding a console version, Diablo 3 i...
Kaz, I know you have a lot to brag about. For instance:
1.Playstation won the last generation and will likely win this one.
2.Blu-ray won the format wars and Sony's efforts are paying off
But despite your past victories, don't fold your hands over the comment "Forget Microsoft and Nintendo". The core business of the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and wii is GAMING. Games are the ammunition that will win you this war; so, focus on GAMES and don't underestimate y...
This game should have released in fall 2007 - at a time the PS3 NEEDED it the most. Before it was delayed and scheduled for release in fall 2007, it was a better alternate Exclusive for PS3 against Xbox 360's Halo 3...both being First-Person Shooters: single player (solo, 2-4 player co-op) and multiplayer modes. However, with the delay and HAZE hype that seems to have died down, I doubt it’ll sale as much as it would have back in fall 2007.
If Free Radical/Ubisoft in the proces...
To make money, you have to spend money. Microsoft does an exceptional job in this department (MARKETING/ADVERTISING). Nintendo too with their unique motion control demonstrations in commercials helps get the message across – and it’s working out well for them. I would like to see Sony step-up in this area.
The hardcore gamers (you and I) stay on top of the gossip and news of the happenings in the games industry; therefore, we usually know what we'll be buying in the near future. ...
