For me, Valve is THE company that brings balance to the games industry. We (gamers) need them in their current independent state. Yes, Valve is a business, BUT first/foremost is that they are gamers... creativity/development is their priority.

A buyout would definitely limit progress or ruin the culture that is within Valve (eventually destroying the company)... just look at Bioware, which I believe is slowly heading to its destruction. I was one of Bioware's fans who was...

It's comforting to know there are people like you out there as me who DOWNLOAD trailers (the great ones) for keeps... I'm not into STREAMING content back and forth either :-) Having a downloaded file version saves up the time when you want to re-watch, re-watch, re-watch or show the content to a friend/family instead of having to hunt it on the web.

When GROUND ZEROES released on youtube, I downloaded the 1080p HD version.

rodiabloalmeida, you're 100% right. Cevat Yerli talks too much. In my last comment from 55 days ago (LINK: http://n4g.com/comments/red... I worried about his bold statements he puts out when he opens his mouth.

Unreal and CryEngine are both cool and amazing products.

Crytek boss Cevat Yerli always has big claims (words) to talk about his games. I remember with Crysis 2, he was hyping the game to feature the best A.I. ever in any game. You can read the post at http://www.tomshardware.com...

He made big claims of their A.I. system, but look at how things turned out - it was flawed (I never felt challenged with Crysis 2 A.I. System). I sometimes ...

Just as Master Chief said "I NEED A WEAPON". I N4G user nchizimbi say "I NEED THE FOOTAGE"... Give us the actually in-game footage/trailer.

X12 stands for Xbox 2012. The first 'X' event dates back to 2001 (X01) then followed by X02 in 2002, X03 in 2003 all the way through X06. X07 through X09 never happened (years 2007 through 2009). The 'X' event relaunched in 2010 with X10. This year is 2012, therefore X12.

These events are Microsoft's annual 'X' press expo.

With Halo 4 release in the fall of 2012, am sure Microsoft will show-off the game at X12,... this is the right time for 343i to unveil IT to get the momentum going and building. Waiting for the unveiling to happen at E3, I think is a marketing error.

I recently built a Core i5 2500 PC with the specs (just to name a few of the main components):

Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4 x 4GB) RAM;
AMD Radeon HD 6870 GPU;
WD BLACK 750GB HDD;
Asus Maximus IV Gene Z68 MB;

The plan was and still is to drop in three 1TB WD GREENs for storage, an SSD for the operating system and using the 750GB BLACK for OS image back-up, applications+games installations. But due to drive price hikes with the floo...

DMC reboot looks okay to me... I'll give it a try when it releases.

The reboot could awesomely surprise us
... but the death threat issue is extreme.

Mass Effect 3
Halo 4
Max Payne 3
Darksiders II
Bioshock Infinite
The Last of Us
Metal Gear Rising
Ghost Recon.
These are the games am looking forward to adding to my collection.

I don't like the direction Ninja Gaiden 3 is going... I've struck it off my anticipated/to-buy list.

In the previous generation (PS2-Xbox-GameCube era), I bought games anyhow on launch day or shortly after... some great, others not.

In this generation, I've been very picky on what games to buy... in the collection, there's not one that am disappointed in. My buy has been based on media (trailers, ViDocs), interest in the franchise & most importantly, reviews. But my buying of the games has been $40 & below (I wait a few months for the prices to drop)... it...

The question is, "Where is EPISODE 3 of Half-Life 2?"

5178d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Yes, 2 to 3 years, but not the whole team. A small percentage of the team will be maintaining and adding content to the Star Wars MMO. Am sure the Star Wars team is in pre-production/development of a different project as the Star Wars MMO game is nearing completion.

Both should be in development. Bioware is a big studio with three games/universes developed simuataneously - Mass Effect, Dragon Age and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic. Am sure Jade Empire development can co-exist in the production of the Mass Effect and Dragon Age universes since the Star Wars team will probably be looking in another project; Star Wars franchise belongs to Lucas Arts hence the team exploring another venture say JE.

Multiplatform is the way to go in this day and age. Insominiac Games, Kojima Productions, Bungie Studios etc have terminated there exclusive ties.

Crysis 2 release should have been held to when Direct X11 development support, Sandbox Editor and other features were complete. Without these features plus the bugs (A.I issues) which shipped with the game hurt its sells.

The title would have sold better if the bugs and later post release features were built into the retail package.

I see Itagaki hating and dissing on this third installment of Ninja Gaiden. One of the things I see, which would never have happened (gone into the game) if Itagaki was still at Tecmo is the Quick-Time Events gameplay feature.
