Yeah the new console, will just be essentially something to put discs and let you play better looking games etc, much like the any console, all it does is read discs, its up to developers to add to that.... Much like the bread of the sandwhich I am eating =)
And that is what Nintendo has done, give the new console a new way to play games.
No doubt the potential is there, for some reason I thought of a Pokemon Snap sequel / remake in HD using the controllers camera as an interesting concept, I am not really into Pokemon, but this new WiiU controller really goes some way to imagination.
I dont think it will change Gaming, but I think it will pave the way for an alternative way of playing them. That said, I do think it really need two proper analogue sticks if it is getting a lot of racers and shooters, for ease ...
Oh yeah dont get me wrong, I hope the game will be amazing, we need a really good action based RPG and I am a pretty big fan of Kingdom Hearts, so naturally want V13 to be ground-breaking.
That said though, it has taken so long that I just think "well, it will be out when its out", I am a pretty patient person but dude, six years is a long time.

I get what you are saying, PS3 fanboys always try to say XGameChat is not important and all that, I am a PS3 gamer too but I would have to be a fool to say I would not love XGameChat.
That said though free online play > X Game Chat IMO, and if I can only have one or the other, free online gaming it is.

In all honesty though, I do not really get why if the Vita can and apparently is going to have it that there is no news on the PS3 having it. Even if they said "Oh, once the PS vita comes out and has X Game Chat, we will give PS3 the same feature." Even that would be great in itself. But they are just saying "No"
Those who say "If you go multiplat I will never buy another one of your games" probably never did in the first place, because those people are not even gamers at all anyway.
I actually agree but the thing is they are introducing it now, so it can be perfected later... At least that is what I see of it.
Dont think so, they showed it with 2 in order to show the spilt screen thing but i think they said the bundle would be one pair only.

But meh I do not really care, their revenue is no concern of mine as long as they are providing quality entertainment at a reasonable price.

LOL Yeah when I am playing God of War I dream of playing Mario, Donkey Kong and Zelda... Not like I did that 10+ years ago when they were relying on the same exclusives back then as well.
