Not the point. Games like that make a legacy over time.
The sales of that game don't reflect the number of fans who would buy a sequel necessarily.
Remember, the PS1 days were the days where a lot of kids rented their games and piracy was as easy as putting blue tack in the PS1 to keep the disc spinning when the cover was opened lol.
I suspect tons of people played Medievil when they were younger and didn't buy it.
Combine that with the people ...
I don't think I'd really want a sequel to Journey to be honest. Kind of feels like it was supposed to be a one off experience with the way it "ended" and all.
Ascension is the first game chronologically though.
Because the series has also had multiple re-releases / collector editions, including Sony just this week released God of War 1 and 2 HD on Vita. Asking fans to buy the games again for the... Third or fourth time is that now?
I'm a fan of the series, I loved 1-3 and even got the platinum trophy for 3 (one of the few games I've really wanted to get everything out of it) but dude, the series is most definitely "milked" if any series ever was.
...
If it means anything, I bought this pretty much based on Spider-Man being my favourite super hero and I really enjoyed it.
It's much better than the first ASM game. Granted, there are things I definitely thought could have been done better but I loved the new swinging mechanics and I really don't get why reviewers are criticizing that when there's other stuff that genuinely does hold the game back.
I did have to reset once because I got stuck on some scen...
It's just a matter of time dude, the lightsaber is already in the game as an unlockable.
Everything aside, it's still the best game I have played so far this generation.
I mean I doubt he's looking to gain anything from it anyway so saying there's nothing to gain from it may not be particularly relevant.
We all have a lot of time to kill don't we?
Agree! I loved Heavy Rain. For me I just didn't get as into the plot for Beyond, it felt much more fixed as if my action didn't really effect the outcome much which was What I loved about HR.
I'd buy them if they were both on a PS4 collection though!
On some sites if you click the PS4 version it has "Only on PLayStation" on the PS4 box art. Amazon UK and GAME it appears like that.
Probably doesn't mean anything but that's pretty strange.
I thought Spider-Man belongs to Marvel (Disney)?
Only Sony's movie division own the rights to make movies based on it, I think...
You know what will make or break KH3 for me is how they end the story.
Dream Drop Distance confused even fans of the series.
Yeah I am a huge MGS fan and for me spending money really isn't that big a deal, I mean I'm not rich but if I want something and can afford it then I'll buy it so I was ready to buy Ground Zeroes based on that. However I thought about it from the perspective of others who don't have that money to throw away on a demo, have bills to pay etc and I mean, I'll be there one day too and I definitely would not want to see this shady business tactic become a staple in the industry...
I dunno, doesn't it depend more on like, the animation etc?
Because I get freaked out by robots that look human because the face moves in a way that clearly isn't or has a vacant look to it.
But videogames and animated films I'm fine with. I think it's because I "know" it's done by a computer, whereas robots are like actual physical things.
Don't really know enough about what uncanny valley actually is but yeah, that's what freaks ...
Knowing what is going on in the story, for example.
Same. Love the series but this is way too much money for what it is.
MGSV is the perfect case study of how NOT to market a game, yet it's part of one of the most legendary gaming franchises ever... It's so weird how time changes things.
Suit yourself but I've had more fun going back on LBP2 recently than I do any of the PS4 games.
Battlefield 4 online is quite fun and am addicted to Resogun but better graphics doesn't make them worth playing over GT6 or even GT5.
Still using my PS3 more than my ps4 is all in saying.
I can understand MGSV not being nominated because only GZ is confirmed for next year, we might not get MGSV in its entirety until 2015.
But infamous?! I'm surprised it wasn't nominated... Well I'd rather have that than Titanfall because I prefer the genre
. That said, Titanfall looks like an amazing FPS and will be the best console FPS probably until the sequel comes along.
I mean I can't imagine it being much worse than Killzone SF.
Glad to be one of the people contributing to the UK record, love my ps4.
My friend who was going to wait for next gen until he played on our ps4 has ordered his now.
When I say "ordered" I mean there's literally none in stock now and people are pretty much having to pre order the next batch...
That's quite impressive :D
That excuse didn't stop Square from revealing KH3 last year.
I don't care if it's a good five years away, just something to show that it still exists and is being worked on to at least some degree would be nice.
