Flak Jacket isn't the same as "armor" like in the Quake games or Doom. It has completely different uses.
Flak Jacket - Less damage from explosives. In COD you can survive a rocket, grenade or claymore.
Armor - Basically more health points. In some games bullets do less damage.
I agree. Why Microsoft didn't ship the 360 with a built-in HD-DVD drive is beyond me. The games would've really benefited from it.
Yes it does need Blu-Ray or some equivalent 50gig disc. Physical media isn't going away anytime soon. Internet Speeds required for HD movie streaming or downloading 50gig games costs way too much. Not to mention HDD space is still expensive and next gen console will be lucky to even ship with 500gigs.
We know the PS4 will use Blu-Ray. If the next Xbox is still using DVD it will be really embarrassing for Microsoft. Even the Wii U is using a 25gig custom disc for their gam...
Adding Blu-Ray to Xbox 360 is absolutely pointless now. No, it doesn't need it now but it did need it back in 2006.
The next Xbox better have Blu-Ray though. If it's still using DVDs then there's no chance I'm buying at all.(Doesn't need to use Blu-Ray. a proprietary 50gig disc should be fine.)
This is America. 360 is the dominant HD console. Of course PS3 games will have much lower pre-orders and overall sales.
Not everyone is into those kinds of games. I myself find western open-world RPGs really really boring.
Of course multiplats have more pre-orders on PS3. They receive double the hype. Oh and whats your excuse for the ridiculously low Forza 4 numbers?

Xbox isn't a PC. It's home console. It won't run Windows. If it did run windows then it would be an extremely limited version of it.
The Wii U isn't exactly superior technology. It'll be roughly on par/slightly more powerful than a PS3/360. Not a threat to Microsoft or Sony in that department.
But Nintendo is launching a new system and Microsoft and Sony need to launch their systems within 1 year of the Wii U's release to stay relevant in the market.
