@Solid It doesn't matter. They received money based on the promise of the game releasing on steam, specifically. What makes it worse is that they initially refused refunds for those steam keys when they switched to epic.
WTF does the Switch have to do with mobile phones. For that matter, what does DS and PSP have to do with mobile phones. Completely different types of games for completely different markets..
The Switch is not a dedicated portable device. Its a home console with portability options.
If you tried to cut the atmosphere in this game with a 1000 year old Japanese sword that was folded 1000 times, the sword would break. The atmosphere and oppressive themes that permeate this game are on the level of a Team Silent work. That was my favorite thing about it.
This is the best 1st party exclusive this gen. I couldn't possibly praise this game enough.
"Watch a video. Watch some trailers. Read a few reviews. Chances are if you keep an open mind, you probably will be OK with the game."
Actually, the most common thing I'm hearing is "it's not for everyone".
Kojima had nothing to do with the SH series, outside of Silent Hills.
Reviews aren't there to tell us what to think. They are there to give some indication as to whether or not a game might be worth the risk of dropping $60. I think ElementX is pointing out how much of a crap-shoot buying this game is based on all the info floating around.
@Spicyram
I don't think Concertoine was trying to make you look like a fool. He just pointed out that the games you used as examples are just bad examples. Its ok to be wrong. We all are at some point. The problem is that you tried to make Naruga look like a fool, THEN you used a bunch of bad examples while being a dick about it. Thats the only thing making you look foolish here.
For the first time since NFS: Underground 2, I'm actually considering buying a NFS game.
The crazy thing is that the new Need For Speed dropped without a single mtx in sight, at least for now. I make jokes about alternate realities but I'm starting to think I woke up in one.
Meanwhile, in an alternate reality, Some guy posts:
Well from a country that elected Hillary Clinton for president I can’t say I’m too surprised.
I vote both.
Some of the best games, definitely.
"Is interesting that PS4 had no BC and yet reigned supreme all this gen."
Last gen's digital sales weren't at near the level that they are at now. There weren't so many people facing the prospect of walking away from massive digital collections of games. Why do you think that we are hearing so much about the PS5's BC capabilities this long before the console is even officially announced. Sony knows what they are doing.
"Majo...
I don't think anyone is asking PS5 to "rely solely" BC. BC was a cool feature back in the day, when all game sales were physical and, ironically, the transition from PS1 to PS2 is the one hardware transition that I can remember that needed absolutely no help. Mainly because that thing pretty much shot out the gate loaded. Maybe not day 1, but those first 2 years on PS2 saw a packed line up that this industry will never be able to replicate... but I digress.
BC...
Don't know why anybody would want SF5 on Switch. Especially if they owned a Switch.
Previous gens didn't have players with insane digital backlogs that can't be traded or sold, at least not without selling off their account as a whole. The more digital the console industry becomes, the more indispensable BC becomes.
There's always emulation. Works like a charm. There is also methods of playing game backup files directly through ps1 and ps2 consoles. The biggest problem with the old consoles are the disc drives going bad and this circumvents that issue.
@DigitalDaniel
There is nothing in that statement that would make them legally liable should they decide to introduce loot boxes down the line. And if Activision has proven anything, its that bad PR is strictly a secondary concern.
Gamestop will do it. They did it last gen and the gen before that.
