Valve will definitely help bring Linux to gaming but, what about all those games that are on windows? I doubt many of them will get ports so you will have to dual boot to play older titles.
AMD and Nvidia love battlefield so I would expect lots of driver updates before this launches to fix that, also this is probably far from final optimization.
@kayoss the PS4 chip will have a PC version that is very similar in 2014.
so the PS4 having like 10 exclusive games a year is better than the pcs thousands.
Theres better games out there that are dungeon crawler slike diablo.
There is no next xbox. People don't understand that.
Battlefield 3 on pc maxed.
Console vs PC is typically lower mid end.
If your talking best of the best 3x gtx titans and a 3930k will push 1600p maxed for 7 years atleast
Watchdogs leading platform is PC, they obviously care.
Optimization, no DRM and features like DX11 lighting, tesselation, 2k or 4k textures. That would suffice.
Fun game, I beat it 3 times and I still can go back and not be bored of it.
People buy gaming laptops for portability. This is same for people that want maximum portability on a powerful device.
Next gen is going to be like PC gaming is now. We get by just fine because we get deals on almost everything but ya that sucks for console gamers. Your going to have to pay full price while we pay much less.
Same price as a Windows 8 Pro and you get a GPU. IMO it is worth it if you want a tablet. But your wallet will like you more if you just get an Asus or Sager gaming laptop.
Hint: Don't buy one of these till next gen hardware is out. Haswell GT3 is equal to a gtx 640 desktop and it will be in tablets and AMD Apus will be out soon. You have been warned.
You get optimization. Software matters just as much as hardware.
The hardware is close enough, someone will probablt get windows 7 or linux running on one pretty quick if the security is easy to crack.
Crysis 3 looks better but the gameplay sucks.
This is the last generation. After this generation 95% of the US will be on fiberoptics and there won't be a need for consoles. The only things that will still be around for games are PC and mobile devices.
After this gen its all moving to cloud. It was fun while it lasted.
They will a new playstation but it won't be the playstation 4.
PC is the best, it just cost more. You will never see a console that can run 3 monitors or do things like be an actual PC... The only advantage that consoles have over PC is price. Although games are much cheaper on PC.
It is impossible for consoles to ever be even close to a pc in power, they would cost too much to compete with like an i7 3930k @4.5ghz with 3 gtx titans. It will be 2-3 years then PC will have major power advantages over PS4/next xbox.
I have...
