You won't find anything like this in any other shooter on any other console. The amount of content and features in Halo: Reach is unprecedented. This is one extraordinary game that will be played for countless years to come.
I agree, I've always preferred Gears of War to Halo.
I think it's a little early to have Halo: Reach in best game lists. But I'm surprised they don't have Halo 3 in there if they have Reach at #1.
It's pretty sad that Wii Sports Resort, in its 60th week since release, outsold Sports Champions in its launch week. That's just WRONG!
Halo: Reach did very well. Let's compare some of the biggest games of this gen on their launch weeks:
4.94m - Modern Warfare 2 (360)
3.96m - Halo: Reach (not yet including Japan)
3.82m - Halo 3
3.38m - GTA IV (360)
3.25m - Modern Warfare 2 (PS3)
2.70m - Final Fantasy XIII (P...
Incredible. And a huge boost in 360 hardware. So much for all Halo fans already having a 360.
Americas Sales for Week of September 18
360: 156,249 (+69%)
DS: 146,104 (+16%)
Wii: 67,938 (-8%)
PS3: 65,063 (+14%)
PSP: 29,063 (-35%)
PS2: 9,687 (-2%)
The 360 got a 69% boost from Reach and the PS3 got a 14% boost from Move. Also, the 360 outsold both the Wii and PS3 combined.
Europe + Others ...
You don't need to be a troll to have one bubble. You need to either:
A.) Support the 360, or
B.) Not support the PS3
It Only Does EVERYTHING
Let's look at the scores of the last main installments in both the Fable and GT franchises (although I don't know why anyone would try to compare these two totally different series, but I'll go along with it):
Metascore
Fable II - 89
Gran Turismo 4 - 89
Apparently Fable can compare in quality. Now of course Fable, a 6 year old series with 3 titles spanning 2 systems can't compete in sales with Gran Turismo, a 13 year o...
You could wonder the same thing about someone who doesn't own a 360. There are only two reasons I can think of. Either they can't afford a PS3/360, or they are not interested in enough exclusives on the console to warrant a purchase. For me, it's the latter. The only PS3 exclusive coming soon that I'm really interested in enough to buy the console is LittleBigPlanet 2.
@Windex
Right... I have a quick list to drop off here:

You're not alone. Most people think so.
This really shows how little impact Japan has on the overall worldwide sales. In Japan, it currently goes:
1. PS3
2. Wii
3. 360
And worldwide it currently goes:
1. 360
2. Wii
3. PS3
With the 360 and Wii swapping back and forth between first place in the last couple weeks.
@PopEmUp
Nope, I did nothing but state facts.
VGChartz's estimates are sold numbers, Sony's estimates are shipped numbers. Sony can only track how many PS3s leave their warehouses, while VGChartz attempts to track how many units are actually sold to consumers. VGChartz numbers are likely very accurate and this short analysis can help to show that Sony definitely overshipped the PS3 by a lot last quarter, which would explain the large discrepancy between the numbers:
"Jan-March 2010: According to Sony, PS3 sh...
There's one key factor to being successful in Japan, and it is something that Microsoft will never be able to achieve. They'd have to be a Japanese company to be successful in Japan.
This is the only game I want a PS3 for. I have it preordered but I don't even have the console yet.
This is exactly what Aaron Greenberg was talking about. Games for Kinect are built from the ground up, where a lot of Move titles are just games that have added Move support, but are meant to be played with a regular controller. If you take out all these games that are meant to be played with a standard controller from Move's lineup, it has even less core titles than Kinect.
It's kind of sad that really the only positive things you hear about Killzone are about its graphics. Or is that all there is to talk about?
You better watch out Gran Turismo 5, Kinect Adventures! is right on your tail!
Hmm... maybe it would be in the Game Marketplace under Game Videos? Crazy, I know...
No, the only company capable of such an act is EVIL Micro$oft!!!!
