Ignorance is bliss and you must be incredibly happy. Yes what matter is that YOU enjoy the game. But again, poor sales (not saying that this is the case because the game will make a profit) but ignoring sales altogether is ignorant and will only serve to hurt you, the gamer, in the long run.

Why does everyone qualify their "not caring about sales" stance with how it will affect their gaming habits or enjoyment of a particular game? As far as I've seen NO ONE has ever said anything even remotely reflecting that it would.

Sales matter because good sales=success. And last time I checked, in business, success=good. Success means growth. It means staying power. I brought up Dreamcast before. I'm sure the people that bought it said "sales don't matter to me&...

I played Uncharted from beginning to end 4 times. Love it. I agree about MW 2, but not about Search and Destroy. Can't stand that mode. I'm more of a Domination, Sabotage, Headquaters guy. I can't stand the slow pace of Search on COD. I'd rather play Rainbow Six Vegas for that type of gameplay.

I think Halo is mediocre at best and yet that game has moved systems. So much for the "good, not great" excuse.

Sales and attach rates are incredibly important. The better a game performs the more likely we are, as gamers and fans of said game, to get a sequel. One of my favourite games of last year was Mirror's Edge. I played it, loved it and saw room for improvement that a sequel could offer. BUT, it sold horribly thus pretty much guaranteeing no sequel. This SHOULD matter to everyone.

I don't just follow games, I follow movies, music and TV as well. If a TV show you love doesn't get goo...

I have a PS3 and I have Killzone 2. Doesn't change the fact that it's true. This game would have sold much more on 360.

Even being behind a small margin PS3 has a TERRIBLE attach rate. Resident Evil has always been considered a "Sony" franchise (proven by the fact that RE4 outsold the Gamecube version by a large margin) and yet it's sold almost twice as much on the 360 than the PS3. Then you have an amazing game like Killzone 2 barely selling 600,000 units in a month. This game SHOULD be doing amazing numbers but people aren't buying it.

Look at Gears of War. The ads for the game made e...

I love how this kind of crap gets 200+ replies. Who cares, really? Killzone 2 is an amazing game. The fact that it's not selling as well as it SHOULD and COULD is about 80% Sony's fault for an extreme lack of proper marketing. The other 20% is PS3 owners for not liking it because it's not like COD.

My only concern is that KILLZONE 2 should be played by every fan of FPS but it requires greater skill than COD to really get into. See, IW made COD 4 a game that's easy to play and tak...

The first game was never boring to me. I absolutely loved it. The only things I didn't like were the collecting flag races and the lack of variety in the investigations. But I completed every single one, climbed every perch and killed every guard on the rooftops. That made the game fun for me.

Let's look at the difference in size between GTA III and San Andreas. Both done on DVD. San Andreas was not only huge, but had about twice as many gameplay features. There is no reason why they couldn't do the same on DVD this time out. Considering how much more they sold on 360, I highly doubt Rockstar will make it exclusive.

Either way, though, I'm getting it day and date for whatever platform offers the better experience.

The reason the Kill Cam exist is because of how easy it is to snipe. Otherwise it would be cheap kill after cheap kill. Getting sniped in the arm is an insta-kill in COD. In order to balance this, we get a kill cam so we can see where we were shot from so we can flank and remove the sniper. This isn't real life, it's a VIDEO GAME. One where everyone should have an equal advantage. Camping RUINS shooters, period.

You mention the Ghillie suit? Really? It's so they can't be seen? Yo...

The best way to improve MP in COD is a lobby system like Rainbow Six. Where you have a host set up a room and can control who's in the room. You can kick out players without mics first and foremost because they ruin the game more than anyone else. It's a team based game where communication is key. Instead you have no mic using lone wolves who only care about kills. Which is fine in TDM but terrible for the objective games like Domination, Sabotage and Headquaters.

You can also ki...

So what you want to do is be a coward and camp? That would absolutely RUIN the game. Maybe if sniping was so easy and actually required skill then it wouldn't be so bad. I never snipe and can easily get kills with a sniper rifle when I pick one up. So what you want to do is hide and kill people from a distance and never be able to be seen? Yeah, that's a great idea.

What they should do to improve the game is limit the amount of snipers per team or actually make sniping difficult ...

This happened on COD 4 as well. It was fun for a few rounds but I got frustrated after that so I went back to a normal lobby. Then I played for about 30 seconds in which everything was in slow motion. WAAAAY worse.

Who says a disc based version of the DLC isn't in the cards? MS isn't stupid. If they see it as a way to make more money, they'll do it. I could see them selling it as either packaged with both DLC down the road, OR a Special Edition of GTA IV with both DLC, not unlike Oblivion Game of the Year edition.

Actually, the GS I worked at sold out of walk up copies of Halo 3, as well as COD 4, and GTA IV within the first day. The only ones we had left were reserves. Having ethics, I wouldn't sell any of those to anyone until the 48 hour period expired. Unfortunately not ever GS shares this practice because the pick up rate for reserves is 60%, save for those 3 games which were anywhere from 85-95%.

I like GS because I like the convenience, the trade in deals, the fact that I rarely ke...

Who cares, really? I have the PS3 and the 360 and I love them both. As long as games are still released for both then I'm ok.

You do know that if you want you can say "no" to getting an open copy of the game. I love when people complain about this but yet they continue to buy open games.

Hiding as far away from the battle as possible in order to get kills is pretty cowardly. But I'm mostly talking about COD.

Let me start by saying that Red Faction is one of my favourite FPS of all time. It was deep, long, fun, and incredibly innovative at its time. Red Faction 2 was a let down, and when I heard they were switching to 3rd person I was pissed.

Now, I haven't played the demo because as far as I know it's region locked, but I watched gameplay footage and I'm now excited for it. I know people have an instinctual need to defend KZ2 but saying RF:G has bad graphics is beyond ridiculous. I...
