I absolutely LOVE their concepts for communication and ranking up and such. I can't tell you how many games of COD 4 I've played where there is an obnoxious douche that isn't trying to help with the objective but rather trying to get his K/D up. It usually costs the team a loss and a lot of deaths. If they nail the controls to a point where it's fluid and fun (it doesn't have to play exactly like COD 4 but it should be as responsive and fluid) AND force players to actually be part of a team, ...
Hmmm....You know that a game which you haven't played is more fun than 2 other games, one of which...YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED?
Can you tell me next weeks winning Lotto #s?
The simple fact is that they waited entirely too long after the release of the disc to release the DLC. I know I sold the game long before the DLC came out and only bought it again (used so I could return it after I'd completed L&D) to play the DLC. If there is anything or anyone to blame for the "low sales" perspective it would be Take Two for pushing it back to Q1.
BUT, I guarantee that if they take the Bethesda route and release both DLC as a disc based medium, ...
Can you explain to me HOW it failed? Not because you found it boring, because that's subjective, but the game sold extremely well and continued to sell extremely well through most of the 365 days since it's release.
So tell me, how did it fail?
Yeah, I played a game of Sabotage that I was shooting the guy with the bomb and he didn't die. My accuracy was at an all time high, though.
Vice City didn't have the best story. It had some great features but it was such a rip off of Scarface that to say it had the best story is like saying Friday the 13th had a better story than Halloween merely because it had more gore.
GTA IV had the best story.
As for features in the new game? I want the ability to buy buildings, tear them down and reconstruct whatever you want. Realistically, this won't happen but it'd be cool if you could take over the city and reb...
I played the first one with various friends about 6 times from beginning to end. Needless to say, I loved it. So the next one is a day 1 purchase for sure. My only complaint is that we were robbed of an awesome boss fight with that helicopter at the end.
I completely agree with the notion that the story wasn't what made the SC games so great. That was purely gameplay. If you have as many cutscenes as MGS then you had better have a great story to tell. Splinter Cell's story was merely to give you a reason for the action taking place from level to level. Yes, storywise, it makes sense to strip Sam of his comfort and support system but taking so much of it away that it no longer feels like a Splinter Cell GAME is mistake.
The kind o...
Personally I loved GRAW 2 the best and would love it for them to continue with that series but I'm sure they'll incorporate both aspects of the GR series.
This series doesn't need redemption. The bar was set so high after Chaos Theory that even a little bit less was going to be a disappointment. But I think Double Agent is every bit as good as any SC that came before Chaos Theory and hardly the downfall of the series. Splinter Cell is easily my favourite game franchise ever and that's because of a consistent quality from game 1 to the last (I'm talking consoles).
The PS2 versions were always weaker with whole sections of levels rem...
Uhm...What ideas would those be? Stealth? Really? Because Syphon Filter and Splinter Cell have much more in common than MGS and Splinter Cell.
I agree. I wanted to actually see the FP aspect in action. Instead we get mostly video, albeit gameplay and supposedly not pre-rendered.
Any shooter is made by it's controls. If this doesn't control well they can have the best graphics in the world (which it doesn't) and it won't mean sh!t.
And sorry, but I don't see anything beating Modern Warfare 2 this year. If Killzone 2 couldn't touch it with a solid single player campaign, then this isn't going to with it being...
Thanks IW for releasing a patch that stops cheating 18 months after the game's release. Thanks for not patching the terrible matchmaking. Not allowing players to leave a game that you join in which you have ZERO chance of winning because the team you joined is terrible and the score is 180 to 25 and yet if you leave you still get a loss. Thank you for not making a patch that allows players to make a room in which people without mics can not play or something to that effect.
Serio...
So you're admitting that you're so terrible at the game that you need to cheat to do well? You're pathetic. Yes, you cheat at a VIDEO GAME. Wow, talk about a loser.
How does using a MODIFIED controller that makes single shot weapons shoot full auto with NO recoil but with all the damage and accuracy, NOT count as cheating?
I LIKE the MP but I'm not enthralled with it the way I am with COD 4 or was with both Rainbowsix Vegas 1 & 2.
But this really isn't much of an article. If you're going to ask a question like that as a title you should bring to the forefront the issues you think that raise this question. Saying "But that's a whole other story" is really poor writing. You ask a question to get hits, but you should really have more substance to justify it.
Just saying.
The Wii is a gussied up, much easier to use Power Glove. Which was WAY back in the day.
COD 4
Deus Ex
Half-Life 2
Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay
Red Faction
If this is BEST BUY exclusive then I'm canceling my Gamestop reserve tomorrow.
I'm gonna go with MW2 and say the "megaton" power up he's talking about is either an unlockable like the cheats in Modern Warfare or it's a bonus for getting a massive kill streak in which you can detonate a nuke on the field wiping everyone out. I kid about the last part, but that would be AWESOME!
