Signed. I hate the idea of any monetary system being woven into the core mechanics of the gameplay in any game, the idea only creates games centered around a pay system that is intentionally made to break a game for the purpose of scamming money out of its players. If you come across anything in a game where the solution to the problem is 'Buy this' then the game has failed the customer and itself.
Finally MS will announce that their Kinect field studies have identified more than 30 million people for use in their new mind augmentation advertising campaign. I'm sure mind control waves and brain imprinted Dew commercials will run non stop through the minds of the complacent during their stage debut of this grand new technology.
Or maybe it's just a celebrity petting zoo exhibit for all attendees.
No no, of course not. It'll just be Ted Nugent, some oddball ranchers, Donald Trump and the former owner of the Clippers teaching the crowd about how to tie a noose and playing out their wild west fantasies in the new Red Dead Redemption game. Nothing racist at all.....
With the Wii U the screen is at least attached to the controller, it's possible to hold the controller up and play while sneaking a glance at the screen. It's also a nice place to relegate and manage items and info.
The problem with other second screen options is that you have the controller that your using both hands with and a screen you have to have propped up somewhere to look down at constantly. Touching that screen is pretty much out of the question during play and look...
The TurboGrafx 16 should be here, THAT was maybe the most under appreciated console. It had power, cool games that came on cards and Splatterhouse!
I agree with his statement and I'm also really curious what he thinks about PSNow. Backwards compatibility is available as long as you keep paying which is a shame for future gamers. Even the PS3 revisions were backwards compatible with some titles in the sense that you could buy them over again.
I'd pretty much given up hope for a localization of DQX so if it does then awesome!!!... and if not, well, it's not like I was expecting it in the first place. If it does well enough maybe we'll see that DQVII remake across the ocean as well ^_^
Which is why I buy those "good" games months later at a low price and mostly functioning. The industry does nothing but hurt itself by allowing such faulty games to release so regularly. It's certainly a shame...
To be fair it was a bug riddled mess when it released on console too, this has become more of an industry expectation over the past 3 years and should unfortunately be expected for most releases.
Maybe they should take marriage out of the game entirely, it's not a game companies place to support the idea of a legally binding unity between two people be they man, woman or whatever. Where's the option to be a swinger or have multiple wives?
Or maybe they should have 50 different gender selections like facebook, why should they get left out of the dating game? Just because you have numerous genitals from different genders doesn't mean you can't have a meaningful r...
I got a huge kick out of that sexism video, and the article is pretty good to boot! And not like boot out of a bar or a swanky strip club or anything like that, or in the crotch after a brutally intense joke about someones Mom and a frozen snickers log but in the 'Oh, I just found my other boot!' kind of way, with joy and happiness.....
Your news highlights style kinda reminds me of the humor focus that many magazines of the early 90's had, where letters could be answered...
I logged in to say pretty much everything you just said but you beat me to it. I especially think your spot on with the idea of devs getting to know the hardware while putting out a product to generate cash :)
I would add that this isn't something that is new to this gen, I seem to remember a bunch of HD collections and upgrades being released on the ps3 and 360. The DMC HD trilogy, Serious Sam collection, GoW 1 and 2, Kingdom Hearts (which is still in the process of releasing its...
It'll be called Ride to Heaven, you'll help Jesus get his cycle back from a roving gang of Presbyterian hooker nuns with 9's while saving your brother Bob from the raging ghost of Billy Mayes and his army of dead product ideas.... or something....
Your hopes were answered a long time ago on the SNES by at least one Tenchi Muyo Strategy game ala FF Tactics. It was of course never localized but translations were easy enough to find when I checked it out in the late 90's. I would love a more recent game though, Tenchi Muyo is one of the shows that got me into anime and is still the only harem comedy that makes me laugh AND gives me lots of feels for the characters.
I would prefer a character action game though, something with...
Sounds like the Sega Channel all over again. I wonder if save files will work this time.... AND...
"Customers will be able to use tablets (that are hooked up, wirelessly, to the TV) as controllers."
That sounds like a failure in the making.
Interesting, I hope these situations are depicted meaningfully and with open mind towards how they're portrayed.
Rent to own is known for ripping people off, very few establishments offer good deals on anything. I bought a washer/dryer from a rent a center years ago, worst decision EVER, and it was a better deal than the offers on game systems at the time. Rent to own=fail.
The Real Money Auction House was what ruined D3 at release, the loot system was completely screwed and it was also the main reason for the DRM. Trying to find equipment in the game for your character was as awful a hassle as possible so that players would be pushed to buying the equipment from auction.
The game itself was also balanced poorly which led to some characters only being viable for playing in a group.
It has gotten much better since these issues have been worked o...
USA USA USA UAC....
I've been pretty happy with my Wii U since I got it, there's been some really great titles that have come out and with Bayo 2 and X still coming along with Zelda and whatever comes out of E3 I see good times ahead. It's a shame more people haven't picked one up.
