I'm impressed with the graphics, especially on the 1080p link above, but the gameplay that's shown isn't really enticing or different from anything that has been done already. I'm sure there's more to the game than just a small snippet of gameplay can show but at the moment I feel no real hype for the game, at least not yet.
Some advice as a poor father- think outside the box. Why pay for the toys AND clothes when you can just cloth him with the NFC characters. This also gives you an excuse to buy even more characters when winter comes because bundling up is important :)

So far I've been pretty happy with all the games from last gen that are getting Next Gen versions. I'm really glad I've held off on buying some of these awesome games, now I'll get to experience them in what's hopefully a higher quality :)

Maybe we'll get super lucky and it's a game about Van Halen building a civilization over numerous generations and into the future to fight aliens and robots while trying to catch the eye of their queen/hot teacher Vanille to prove their love and get a date.

Mine was Bayo 2. I would buy a Virtual Boy if Bayonetta was coming for it.
The section about using the Z targeting to focus on enemy weak points mixed with standard musou action has me excited for what this game could turn out to be. I'm not a musou fan but this might finally be the game to change that.
Finally, a game based on the early 80's miniseries V! The patient waiting of an extremely small fan base has finally been noticed....
Or maybe Vectorman, Viewtiful Joe, a dark romantic comedy game for FFXIII's Vanille, a Van Halen RTS, new Vonage commercial, or maybe it's not even a V but a five instead and it's a new Suda 51 game about the genital jokes and dangerous women.
It may even be more than $90 depending on whether there is more than one season for their DLC. I agree completely that this system has gotten way out of control in just the span of a couple of years and it'll probably get way worse before it gets any better, if it gets any better.

Honestly I think using "free patch" is confusing since it implies that there are paid patches as well. Patches are seen as free (and hopefully it stays that way) while dlc is what is seen as being either paid or free. I wouldn't say anything but I had the exact same reaction as cgoodno :/

I think the Nintendo website is selling refurbished Wii U's for $200 still. Just a money saving option if price is an issue ^_^

There are so many great moments in this game- the opera, the world ending mid game, Terra and her numerous questions about her own existence, the brotherly troubles of Edgar and Sabin, the deaths of many characters, Setzers lost love, Locke and HIS lost love, being swallowed by giant worms for an extra character, the Vanish and X-Zone cheat etc.
This game needs a remastering for the current, or even last, gen.
