It's a shame many of the bigger publishers and developers have become so stale and marketing minded. While the big guys are busy figuring out how to squeeze more money out of customers with DLC and micro transactions indie devs and some other respectable devs/publishers have continued to give use games that focus on tight gameplay, complete packages and fun design. I hope more companies will do this in the future but honestly I fear for the future of many big budget games.
Oh well...

Hype... Intensified!!!

Finally, a game that delivers on the hype in spades and aces. Can't wait, this game is going to make me a very happy person :)

This game (packed with the original no less) is a reason to own a WiiU. I've been waiting for a long time, that wait is finally paying off.
Props to P* for making another incredible game and props to Nintendo for funding something that will most likely be lacking in sales. I hope this does well, it's about time gamers get something packed with content, void of DLC shenanigans and high on intense, tight gameplay.
Thank you for making my dreams come true, very few comp...

That violence is so mild brah!
Can't wait for this game, my son and I are both hyped.

I just care that the games are good and the frame rate is steady (if it's a game that needs a steady frame rate). Resolution is nice, of course if something can hit 1080p I want it to, but it's the least important aspect of any game. Controls, gameplay, design, fun, and loading (I HATE long load times) are way more important to me than pixel count, especially gameplay and fun.
A game can look like crapped on cheerios in a dumpster as long as it's fun. A game like Deadly Pr...

The problem with a David Cage game is that one you start to play it over and over the cracks in the story get wider and the experience just comes apart. The only reason Cage says 'Don't replay games' is because his games don't hold up to multiple playthroughs.

Yes, I need this in my face!!

I guess the concepts of building up and working within a budget are lost to Capcom, as are my hopes for a slew sequels that will never be (or even worse, on iOS). Goodbye Capcom, I don't think we'll be seeing each other much any more.

Definitely picking this up, I've been in a Castlevania mood and the GBA games are some of the best available. Nintendo really needs to get a unified account system going on though, this should exist on 3DS too.

Doesn't it make you mad the quality content wasn't there in the first place?

I watched Jim Sterling do a 13 minute or so video and it had me legitimately scared. The sound of the Aliens' footsteps, the instant kill as you try to run away, the erratic movements that are hard to predict, the patient waiting while hiding, it just all got to me with that 'ooohhhhh, gotta get away!' kinda horror feel. As soon as I get a PS4 this will be one of the first games I get, probably along with Bloodbourne and Type 0.

Don't you mean the original GC version? RE4 was on the GC, then PS2, then Wii, then HD on PS3 (I think) and then PC.

People in the US used to play the crap out of arcade games until consoles brought that experience to the home. Things change, and phones in Japan have changed how people there play. I don't like it either, I wish arcades were big here again and consoles were hot in Japan, but it's just not like that. Hopefully creepy VR school games will help move some console though, maybe start turning things around :P

It's not necessarily about what's "wrong" with the country, it's about the Japanese lifestyle. Lots of jobs are 12-18 hour work days, a lot of travel is done on trains, housing space is small and being social and an out and about person are big things in the country. There's not much time to spend at home playing games on a console, and it's especially hard with the costs associated with console gaming. For them it's much easier on the wallet and the lifestyl...

I would have preferred the Road Warrior and Red Riding Hood costumes myself, but whatever.

My grandparents used to take me to the arcade, but they would never let me play Mortal Kombat. I got to play the SNES version but never the arcade one with all the gore, not even the Genesis version with the blood code. Then one weekend my cool Uncle that didn't care took me instead... I'll never forget using Kano and Sub Zeros fatalities on that beautiful arcade cabinet...
