This is the best news to start the day with, this game deserves it all and more. Sorely hope this series gets some more love from fans and Sega.
The idea behind micro transactions isn't that 'oh you have money but not time, so let's give you an alternative', is 'oh, if we make things harder/take longer to get in game we can get people to give us money'. It's a problem because it changes the game design around to favor people that spend more money on the game instead of them making a game that respects your time.

While the story may be light in many Nintendo games it's like that for a reason. The idea behind the games isn't to give you a story but for you to get pulled into the WORLD they create and let you make the story. It's kinda like the silent protagonist, he's silent because you're the one that's supposed to put the words and emotions there.
That's the great thing about games and why storytelling and film concepts don't work as well in them...
I think games should use their own storytelling mechanics instead of copying film. While I wouldn't say there's 'nothing' they could learn I do think the medium has done more harm than good to itself by trying to copy cinema rather than coming up with ways to use gameplay and game design to enhance the story telling capabilities of games.
I've read various account on here and elsewhere that the PS4 version does have these same problems, mostly when in non crowded areas. Buyer beware, your experience may differ from this one.
You can always get a WiiU, Nintendo still makes quality control a prerogative.
Those PC image prove that a horror game with enemies based oround glitches would be amazing.
It's not like the game is going to disappear, if your even thinking about canceling then you should. Worst case scenario is that you get the game later, for cheaper, and it actually functions properly. You lose nothing by waiting.

By offering a credit so you can pick from a pool of games instead of just receiving the ones being offered.
Also, those games aren't free, you pay for them monthly. Stop paying and your 'free' games aren't free anymore.
I still remember playing DA:Origins, building up Morrigan as a complete bada** and then having her leave my party because I wouldn't give her babies. I'm still pissed about that moment, she was the character I had put most of my time and effort into only to have her walk out right before the final battle.
I lost my digital copy of Grandia off of PSN for no reason, and I'm still holding a big digital grudge.

You can check out Pier Solar, it's JRPG styled game with a 16bit art style. I believe it either came out today or will be coming very soon. But yea, I miss the golden RPG era too, no genre should get pushed aside like it has been.
This should be an easy remake/remaster to do, mostly because people have been clamoring for this and others for years. Get on it Squeenix, some common sense could go a long way here.
