It's simple, Gphoria was a user voted contest. Halo 3 was bound to win because it has a large hardcore audience, but more importantly and even bigger casual one.
Guess what? The majority of voters on G4s website were CASUAL players. COD4 has a large audience that is MAJORLY hardcore, same with MGS4.
Eurogamer is one horrible site, their reviews are all based on how some insecure gamer felt about a games difficulty. This review, in particular, is some of the worst writing I have seen. It focuses on why the reviewer disliked the game with no respect to the readers, it is a sad rant.
Example: I am not a Halo fan, but if I were to write a review I would be courteous enough to the readers to break down the review into:
Graphics
Gameplay
Content
Onl...
I will download it and give it a try, but I'm not expecting much. Its free and there is a team that is TRYING to make a good game so what the hell, might as well give it a go.

Yep PS3s can break too. This is hardly some widespread issues or firmware related at all.
At the end of the day the fact still stands that unless MS can fix their disc issues Rage will look better on PS3 (They said so themselves), so which platform is really in trouble?
The PS3 is difficult, but it is still a more thought out platform than the 360.

If you actually read the article you'll see that he thinks the PS3 is a stronger machine.
He says in the current market and with the games devs are looking at right now the 360 is just easier. If you were to put in the time though you could do things with the PS3 the 360 just couldn't, not only due to space but the cells processing capabilities.
As games go more toward physics and effects (since graphics this gen are maxing out) you will see more and more games take ...
Once again someone mentions detail. The games use the same texture, how is one more detailed?
Also I find it difficult to believe a fighting game would have different lighting engine on different platforms.
It is a multiplatform game, same textures and effects. They retail for the same price, why would one look better? That would mean more time into one version and would cause controversy.
Grow up.
The closest game between consoles by far. They look almost identical. Exact same AA (or lack thereof), exact same detail (this is a "duh" since they use the same textures.)
Still retains the typical 360 "darker", PS3 "lighter" (note this does not mean "deeper" colors, literally "darker")

Uncharted was great, hope they change the environment for this outing (Rumors were floating that Uncharted 2 would be set in India or something, nice change if true).
Also I want the story to have a bit more depth. By the middle of Uncharted 1 I had guessed its story. Uncharted is just now being topped Graphics wise by Killzone 2 and Gears 2, my bet is it will re-claim its crown with the sequel.
They looks he same. DICEs engine runs the same on both consoles. UE3, on the other hand, is more difficult but as of yet I haven't seen a 2008 multiplat that is better on 360, they have been equal all year and these are no different.

Well Resistance 2 and Gears 2 are two different genres, why compare? Gears looks a bit better(has a better lighting system) and will sell better (has a larger fan base) but I think R2 will score better and have a lot more content.
Unfair to compare Gears 2 environment size to R2s. If Gears were an FPS of R2s scale it would look no better.
Eurogamer is a horrible site. They do this because it gets alot of hits, they don't care about one vs the other.
They look the same, color differences just like the rest of 2008s multiplats. The ones praising 360 here obviously feel a need to back their console for some sad reason.

At first Aklin seemed fake to me but more recently (last 2 videos and the recording) shes seems much more real. Very good and thoughtful system Insomniac has set up here. Very nice.
Insomniac, Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch. All really amazing companies. Though technically ND is owned by Sony I believe.
