SE have been very odd this gen. I am beginning to loose faith. FFXIII looks good, but not THAT good, what are they planning? I see no game feature that could take THIS long.
They have been cautious in showing the game, and many of its big features remain un-shown. We will see, gamers are in for a surprise, or a disappointment.
Insomniac is a great company, they would have waited to release R2 if they though they needed more time, I'm sure it will look great.
Looks great, 2K Marin really did a fantastic job with this. The controls seem fine to me, jump on triangle makes sense since this is not a platformer. I will say I prefer R1/L1 to R2/L2 but it's a minor complaint.
EDIT: That Survivor difficulty looks like a real challenge, in previous videos from the 360 version those enemies could be killed in 1 shock, 1 hit now its like 4 and they attack quick.
Also look like they fixed the animation system, in the original enemie...
First every game was compared to Halo, now COD4. Ever think a lot of FPS just use the same base idea?
From what I have seen of KZ2 it operates quite differently than COD4, they both have guns(duh) but will feel different since they use different engines and play different because they have different developers.
It it just previews? Thats alright I guess. Success will really depend on what movies get sneak peaks and if they are more than 1min long.
Eurogamer comparisons are crap.
The colors are always off and comparing at that resolution is laughable. In fact most comparisons are crap but even GT videos are better for comparisons.
Just like the Eurogamer Bad Company comparison, they have their PS3 configured VERY wrong.
I Have played the PS3 version and it looked exactly like the 360 one, as far as color. Now if you want to compare AA or resolution then you DEFINITELY need a better video than this.

You are the only one who seems to think they look different. Any present difference in edges is more likely due to the difference in brightness (or capture method since the PS3 is known to be difficult to capture video on)rather than actual resolution or AA.
It may even be the video compression which is fairly crappy (like most all GT vids).
They look the same, smallest brightness differences. Anyone who says one version is fuzzier of blurrier is just being a fanboy. Same resolution and same AA, not surprising seeing as this game isn't exactly pushing limits from any perspective.

DQ creator already stated he isn't bothering with Big Consoles this gen. And Kojima has said that MGS4 was so optimized for the PS3 a port may not even be possible.
Lets see will the Japanese care more about Tales games or Kingdom Hearts 3 and White Knight Chronicles, both there and exclusive to PS3.
Hmmm, thats a toughie, Japan has already chosen the Wii as their casual platform and PS3 as their hardcore one.
Go ahead and try MS, this is just a last attempt to gain a few more followers before the 720 launches (likely next year).
They will both be good games also they are different genres.
I just hope people don't judge R2 based on sales, it will sell well but Gears has a HUGE Casual market (as well as Hardcore)and it will probably sell more.

Looking great, only negative is that GameTrailers changed the audio,chances are it is a cam vid which would explain the audio change and video quality.
The texture work is very nice, great look. I'm actually a bit more interested in the singleplayer (I like multiplayer but nothing is more epic than a good single player campaign.) so i hope to see more in the future.
Exclusivity is dead, HOWEVER will there be DLC agreements?
Trophies will not be standard to 09, this should be obvious. Good sales may mean a patch.
As far as DLC goes, we'll see.
EDIT: I should also note that I am one of the 3 that aren't hyped for Fallout 3, very good looking, high quality game but I didn't like Oblivion (slow combat) and I think Fallout will be the same, its just not for me. Maybe thats why the DLC thing is meh for me right now.
Well I just gone done playing the demo, nice looking game when moving (still the textures are quite bland but the foliage is always nice) I still can't see myself buying a game with 1 type of vehicle, games are beyond that now.
I still think Motorstorm 2 will be better and since I'm not a huge racing fan I am only going to buy 1 out of Pure, Motorstorm 2, and Baja. Leaning toward Motorstorm 2 right now.
Really though Nintendo has nothing to fear, they are a household name amongst all ages, they aren't going anywhere, and no I don't think Wii owners want to buy a 360.

ehh We'll see, that sounds a bit extreme. The 360 is doing fine right now, I see no need for this. I also don't think it would really help them all that much.
I will say this though, MS has been quite secretive lately. I have heard almost NOTHING about 09 for them and this could be why. A lot of it seems more flash than substance though.
