From the gamers that want to play the Halo: Reach beta alone, this game will sell.
I agree with you to a certain degree. Yes the series can be improved, every series can be. But check the forums on Bungie.net or any site dedicated to Halo... one thing is clear, the true fans of the series do NOT want the game to change (maybe that familiarity is what gamers love and what keeps them coming back). That, and on the fact that Bungie is very loyal to their fans, so I don't see many drastic changes to the series when it comes to the way the games play/feel. As far as the story go...
In terms of what? Just curious...
But I want to see some video of the game.
Now we are talking about the 360's biggest title here, so I doubt their is anything to worry about (hopefully) but I really hope if Natal is used it doesn't feel "tacked" on.
But it doesnt matter anyways, their is no way in hell that they would pull the plug on a game that they have spent so much time and effort on coding for the PS3. It would be a kinda silly waisting all the time, effort and cash to just let it go without getting anything in return.
Almost every console has gone through a "shrinking" process, so the likelyhood of the PS3 Slim being real is a safe bet. As far as the price cut goes nobody really knows, but what I do know is that once they reduce the price I will be picking one up...Uncharted 2 looks way to good :).
They need to revamp the comment/bubble/agree/disagree format on here. At least making it mandatory to leave a comment when you agree or disagree with somebody, actually I think it would help when "shutting up" a user as well.
Just upgraded this morning and so far so good, great actually. All the new features are awesome, here's the full list just in case anybody was wondering:

By basing this game on a novel, it hopefully gives them more time to focus on other aspects of the game such as the the graphics and gameplay. But like you said, I to would like for Bungie to lean away from the stylized/clean graphic style of all the previous Halo games, but to move towards a more gritty/realistic style.
You know MS is going to market this game like no other.
I just hope they get rid of the goal glitches. Their are to many "go-to" goals in NHL 09.
Kojima productions has a reputation to maintain, plus their is the pride factor involved as well. Kojima productions have always put out high quality games and I don't see them stopping now, Hideo is to much of a perfectionist to let that happen.
How can your comments be taken seriously? That's like a game being reviewed by a person who never played the game, or a movie by a critic that never watched the movie, it doesn't make much sense.
I think some of you are missing the point. Of course MS wanted to show off the tech, but the main purpose was to show Natal to the masses. The genereal public is not as intersted in games as poeple who visit this site or any other gaming sites, in reality the number of people who actually watched any of the conferences at E3 let alone MS's is probably very low. In the end it's just another vehicle MS is using to make people aware or Natal.
One of the cool things about Natal is that devs have the abilty to create games that use both a standard controller and Natal, so i'm guessing that some games will have the option to use one or the other. My point is that games are going to be created so that the user has the option to use or not use Natal if they choose to.
Fyi...

Their may be other smart phones that perform better then the iphone, but they are just not as "sexy" as the iphone.
Yup, had my third RROD last May, only diffference was that the packing slip was emailed to me and I printed it out but I had to provide my own box as well.
Like you mentioned, Sam-034 dies in 2525 (27 years before the battle of Reach). But, the novel spans over several decades starting from 2517 all the way to 2552, so it is more then likely that Sam is in the game.
And I think I'm going to be a PS3 owner by Sept 1st. :)
