That was my point... At this stage of development, the screenshots of REACH are comparible to the screenshots of the final build of KZ2.
And about the "cherry picking" screenshots, I chose the ones that IMO were the best ones, not the opposite.
Found some similar pics in terms of body position and distance to the "cam" for both Reach and KZ2. Considering Reach is almost a year away, and the their is a obvious difference in art direction, the game seems to be shaping up pretty good so far.

Where is Lone Wolf?
If true, I'm very disappointed.
Very well said.
yup, Sgt. Johnson as well as Chief Mendez (The guy who trained the Spartan II's and the helped Kurt train the Spartan III's ) were both Spartan I's.
Yes they did start roughly at the same time:
Project SPARTAN II Begins - Sep 23, 2517
Project SPARTAN III Begins - Nov 7, 2531
So their was only a difference of 14 years in between the start of the two programs.
And although they were designed to be cheaper and expendable, they were trained just as well as the Spartan II's.
They don't "suck", they are pretty much the same as their Spartan II cousins except for the fact that they tend to be a tad physcho (the candidate pool wasn't as strict which resulted in the majority of the candidates being orphans from defeated rebel colonies), and their SPI (camouflage) armor was not as advanced as the Mjolnir armor. They were trained by a Spartan II (Kurt), they had all the same augmentations (except for a few extra ones I believe), and the program started roughl...
What are you talking about... The Fall of Reach is about the Spartan II program (MC and the rest of the Spartan II's), how they were selected, how they were trained, the various missions they took part in, all leading up to the actual Battle of Reach.
what you need to know man? I can help you out answering your questions :)
If you read the first book, which would have been The Fall of Reach, you wouldn't have read about the Spartan III's. Their story was told in the third book, The Ghost's of Onyx.
I just went from six to midnight o_O
It's beginning to look like it, I guess the class II project wasn't canceled after all.
Fahjad was crippled during the last augmentations, so it can't be him. But it can't be Fred either cuz he was already in the fight, he was part of Red Team. So the only other Spartan it could possibly be is Kurt, unless this is a totally new Spartan that we don't know about, maybe a member from Grey Team (possibly Jai)? They were a 3 man team that were said to be "the most independent and individualistic" Spartans, but also were supposedly to far away to help out, so who knows.
Yeah man, me to. But like I said up there, time will only tell, but until then you know Bungie will keep hyping up this game like no tomorrow. But with that being said, they have never really let us down so far so count me sold... for now.
Fair enough, but you are still wrong about the brainwashing. The only augmentations that were done to the subjects were all physical, so though it might of been terrifying to the kids for the first year, the kids selected were chosen specifically for that reason, they had to be mentally tough.
But getting back to the "Lieutenant" business, the only other Spartan that held that rank and and it could possible be is Kurt.
Does this look familiar?

Good job ripping some dude off. Unless you are that dude, in that case I apologize. ;)
