If the PS4 is so great, why are you waiting for the PS5 to come?
Just give us another refresh of the PS4 (Pro2?) and everything is fine. As long as everything is backwards compatible it is fine for me.
Really? Why because it was now available for PS4 (after you already paid for it on PS1 & PS3?). This is the same game (in this state) that was released on steam years ago. So why should it now be the best game of the year?
Don't get me wrong, it is not my favorite FF but still one of the best (in my opinion).
IMHO it was still a great game. I wish there were a few story-DLCs to end some of those loose story-ends, but overall it was still a great game.
Bugs, yes it had a few animation problems, but nothing that prevented me reaching the end of the game.
And I'm a fan of the series from the first minute I played ME1 after it's release.
Ryse? Ryse was paid work for them. They have other problems. Crysis 2 & 3 just didn't sell well and Homefront either. They are just not making good games. Good looking games, yes, but not good.
They didn't pay their employees for quite some time and they shrunk. Now they are just a small studio that tries to survive.
And btw, they didn't want to sell the Ryse IP.
The Lumberyard engine is the cryengine, Amazon bought it from crytek. They are just trying to get some money because crytek was missmanaged the last years. If that doesn't work crytek is bankrupt (I think).
Well, Sony exclusives are nothing for me since PS3. Tried it with the PS3 (Uncharted, God of War, Killzone, Heavy Rain, ...) they are just nothing for me. Only Sony exclusives I liked was the GT series, and that ended with GT5).
I only need a HDMI capable PS2 with 1080p output to play all these good old gems I still have and like. If the PS4 gets PS2 compatibility I would buy it immediately.
I don't know what you mean. The xb1 has the stronger CPU (not much but a 150 Mhz lead here). It is the GPU that is much slower, but it doesn't look like the GPU is the bottleneck here.
btw. @rhytmattic, are you following my comments now, because I wrote something ... almost negative about the ps4, that a pre-release game would run slower if the cpu is the limit as the video suggests?
And btw, the video is also about original xbox one, you should at least re...
Almost always it is the CPU that limits. If we see those numbers (well still pre-release) we won't wanne know how bad it would run on base PS4 (even lower clocked CPU).
They really must optimize their CPU workloads.

yes. 360 games are bought for 0€/$ and you can even play them if you no longer have a subscription. XB1 games are licensed just for the period of the gold subscription. This is the same as with PS+.
Well, at least the xbox one s is the cheapest way to get a UHD BR player. ;)
Both systems are really healthy. XB1 sold over 35m units (numbers accidentally were released in ~july) and PS4 doubled that number. So both systems are really healthy.
The article just stated, that he seen no reason to upgrade to the PS4 Pro just because his PS4 is good enough to get some great graphics. Not everybody needs up to 4k. Also the PS4 Pro doesn't give you any benefit over ...

What we know since the PS4 Pro, 4k != 4k. It looks better, but isn't native most times. Does that really matter?
Games play better on my x and that's what matters.
In case of FF XV (I have it but don't like it) it looks better, almost just because of the res and clearer textures (because of the res). And in some places are higher res textures. The bigger your screen is, the bigger is the difference you can spot. But ...
well ... Forza Horizon 3 does not have a 4k patch, yet and is still a 30fps game. The update will be released in jan/feb 2018. Forza 7 has the 4k/60 update. Forza Horizon 3 just looks better because it automatically has 16x AF.
Because of playanywhere (get it for PC & console) retail purchase does not make sense. You can also get much cheaper key from other countries.

As a WiiU owner, the switch is really disappointing right now. Only one game is out there that I want to play (Mario odyssey). Everything else is playable on the system or nothing for me.
It would need a new 2D-Mario, new Mario Kart, a new Pikmin and some other new games (not full-price rereleases) so I would consider to buy a switch.
He is not talking about a "steam"-version thing, it is about full steam-support which is hard because of licenses etc. But would work if they would provide something like a virtual "Windows 10" with all managed drivers. Than steam wouldn't be a problem, but that won't happen.

Well, actually xb1x gets native 4k while PS4 Pro gets adaptive/has adaptive 4k. But Destiny isn't that much of an hardware killer like DF already showed in multiple videos.
Well not that I care much about resolution, but 1440p seems to be a bit low, like 1080p for ps4 pro. Which resolutions do the base-consoles have than? 900p or dynamic 900p
