Well, one example, and not even a good one. Guess why Doom is coming for switch, because it has almost nothing to do for current CPUs. It is just graphics without any relevant AI.
Don't get me wrong, doom is a great game, but it is quite different to compare it to a racing game with physics, AI, ....
Take Project Cars 1/2 for example. Also not really runnig optimal on PCs (not even on consoles).

The games runs without any major or game-breaking bugs (savegame-loss, crashes, ...). It runs flawlessly on most computers. If it doesn't maybe you should consider to decrease some graphics-sliders.

Yes and no. It only brings something to the table in rare situations. You should not expect something like doubling performance, that ist just PR. You can expect something like 5-10% or a bit more in some conditions, but it really depends on the game and the scene.
Well, you could speculate with xb1 and ps4, just because we didn't knew some things about how good the esram could be, but now, we have a system that has more memory bandwidth, more memory and more compute power, guess who would produce the better 4k image ....

That won't happen. Not even the wii did that had a big audience. Like I wrote times and times before. In europe you can get the switch almost everywhere. It is still selling good, but not that good that it would be sold out for years.
Sales may go up the next month, because of xmas, Mario release and so on, but after that it is just normal business ag...
I bought it for 30€ ... and I'm still disappointed of that game, that they called "Final Fantasy" ... in my opinion:
- worst story (if there was any real plot)
- worst characters
- couldn't care less about the characters
- a really bad fetch-quest system (just should me all questing locations on the map and not only one at a time)
- and cidney (cindy called in some versions) ... really ... I really don't like those oversexed c...
actually Halo 4 & 5 were the first halo parts, I really could follow the plot. Halo 1-3 ... I really tried to like them, but I really don't care about their story, characters, or whatever.
I really don't get it why americans like the switch so much. In Europe you can get it almost everywhere. It is not sold out for month (amazon has it with next day delivery (France, Germany, UK, Italy)), maybe not every model but there is always a switch to get.

Sony doesn't even get it validated that a downloaded game is the same as a disc game. Instead you must Download a game if you purchase it digitally even through you might have a disc available to install. On xbox one game is a game, if it was installed via disc or downloaded.
Now they can deliver games on multiple discs so you can play the game without downloading anything (well ... day 1 patches :) ) even if the game is bigger than one disc. Even play the game in single-player w...
but it costs much to run different servers for PSVR, Vive etc.
btw, the star trek game does this, but well ... multiplayer ... it is not helping to keep something like this alive. There is not enough game inside to really keep a big audience on the game.
1m is not much and now PSVR sit in stores.
Kinect (1.0) sold 19m but still had not enough people to buy games. You really need a big audience to get good enough numbers for game-developers.
But as PSVR is more for hardcore gamers, they might buy more games than Kinect-owners at that time.
But VR-games are much more complicated to make and look worse than non-vr games (because you need to render 2 pictures), that does not help in reaching the break-even.

I want an xbox one x in white like the xbox one s. But well there is only the dark one that launches, so I take it anyway. But the white xbox would have looked better in the living room.

Maybe preorders might be a bit higher (sony had PS4 Pro and PSVR at the same time so some people that wanted but couldn't afford both at the same time), but sales until the end of the year, no, i don't think so.
I think after the holidays it will be no problem to get an xbox one x ... only the day one edition might be sold out this time.

success is in this case, if you can sell so many units, that you get money out of it. It doesn't matter if the competition is stronger, as long as you still earn money.
Xb1 is still selling quite good. PS4 ist just much better ;)
But I wouldn't call the XB1 a beast in Germany. It was really hard this month to sell my used day 1 xb1 (because xbox1x is coming).
