Xbox is still successful. Not as successfully as the PS4 but it is still making a lot of money. Why should they abandon that?
That won't happen. The more realistic graphics get, the more it get to uncanny valley until it looks really realistic. That won't happen in the near future.
Btw, you can bypass uncanny valley if you just use a more comiclike look.
Playanywhere titles on steam would really be great. Or buy it on xbox and buy it cheaper on pc, too.

Yes, as a WiiU, Switch and other console owner, those ports do nothing for me but there are far more people playing on these consoles than me.
Remakes and Remasters are good ways (and really cost-efficient ways) to get the game to a new audience.
But yeah, I get it, as a WiiU owner, all those ports of games I already played. There is almost nothing for me to play on the switch right now.

yeah, uncanny means that it doesn't look good at all because of to much realism but something is missing so your brain tells you all the time something is not right. (luxury-problems ;) )
Just look at all those realistic looking games from the past. Today they just look outdated, while other games, that are less realistic looking aged very well.

yes and no. You get NES games (well maybe with added multiplayer) but only for a month or so. You don't "own" these games as long as your subscription is active, you can only play them for a month or so (if nintendo "upgraded" the time they told before) after that you can buy the game if you still want to play it.

Yes there was GT6 … but well nothing really after that. Also they were quick on shutting down PS3-game servers.
I really hope the PS4 gets a longer "long term support" than the PS3. Even the PS2 was supported far longer than the PS3.
