I agree to some extent, but you have to remember there are games that haven't got a "next gen" or sequel announcement yet. And they are some pretty "BIG" names at that. I am talking about God of War 3, Team Ico Project, Sly Cooper, Jack and Dexter and other games..

I am sure there are going be plenty of games coming out Christmas 2008.

This subject doesn't talk about the 360. Why would you respond with the 360 line up? Really, this is the worst response I have read in a while. You don't deserve 5 bubbles..

NEGATIVE FEEDBACK FOR YOU.

WilliamRLBaker computer science 101, any type of compression requires the processor to decompress. The more you compress an object, the more processing power it takes to decompress it.

Try it out yourself, encode Xvid and h264 encodes and try to play both on a OLD P2 computer. ;)

I am out of bubbles, give me more.. xD

Having unified memory is NOT a good thing. The Ps3 does NOT have lag between it's CPU and memory usage. Since the RSX already has dedicated memory, it can access the other portion of the memory if needed. This is how your PC WORKS. The 360s GPU / CPU have to share the same RAM, that means developers have to constantly play around with the amount of RAM to be allocated to a particular task. This creates lag between the CPU / GPU and in turn lowers the speed of the data pipelines and creat...

Blu-Ray has compression, but it's not about the compression. It's about the amount of data space you get with Blu-Ray. Why give developers a limited storage medium like DVD9? When you can provide them with a larger storage device. More space is ALWAYS better, how anyone can argue against this boggles my mind.

@ Sarick

Sorry for the late reply, I was getting Vonage setup.. xD

Anyways, you are talking about the "future" and stating tha...

Cutting corners means, PGR not being able to have a new set of texture for night effects. So, they had to make "dawn" and dark weather effects to cover up the limitations.

I think he was talking about the respective console, not an evolution off all consoles together. Nintendo < SNES < N64 < Game Cube < Wii in terms of storage evolution, each console had more storage space then it's predecessor. However, the 360 still has the same DVD9 format it did, when it was first implemented on the original Xbox.

Wow, it's official M$ just gave out one year of XBL for free.

And you are willing to pay $50 for a 20gb HDD, that you can pick up from Ebay for around $20. Good luck.

You REQUIRED a HDD to play the game, it's not like a memory stick. You require a memory stick to save a game. Playing a game, and not being able to save it is two different things. But then again what do you expect from M$, after all they did say there was only a 4-5% failure rate.. look how true that turned out to be.

The general consumer doesn't care if a game is harder to "PORT" to a particular console. If a game is "exclusive" you won't hear that complain, this is "exclusively" a multiplatform issue. But in general, an average consumer doesn't take devs problems with making a game on a system as a factor when buying a console.

6878d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

It's about console sales, multiplatform games aren't console sellers. The first party and exclusives are the games that drive most consoles sales. Halo, is the only game that I can see that is going to sell consoles for the 360.

Mass Effect and Bioshock are great games, but they are new IPs and won't draw console sales. If they had a Gear 2 etc.. that would have helped. But they were hoping to entice Ps2 owners to the 360 over the holidays by releasing GTA4, that was the wh...

How can you reply when you didn't read the whole post?

6881d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Read the dam post, before making comments folks.. or else you will end up looking stupid. Case and point, the first response fallowed by the first reply.. talk about dumb.

Now, to the point. AS stated by the play editor, the games "gold" fixed the frame rate issue, and the controls were also fixed. The build he had before had frame rate issues at the later missions. But these problems WERE FIXED. I am assuming EGM new but didn't want to excuse the problems with t...

Hey genius, how do you expect to get better boot times on the 360? The 360 requires the game to load from the DVD9, the Ps3 can boot the game from Blu-Ray and HDD.. guess which system is going to have faster boot time? You guessed right the Ps3.

6881d ago 1 agree5 disagreeView comment

The Ps3 is the lead platform, I doubt it had the frame rate problems.

You haven't read up their reviews, or watched their shows have you?
1up has been bashing the Ps3 since it's launch.

The game looks very interesting, lets see how it plays. A detective game in a sandbox environment is perfect. Rockstart had elements of this in San Andraes if anyone remembers, but a full blown game is going to be AWSOME.

No where on the cover art does it say the magical words "Only on Xbox."
