Wait....you mean you actually like to "play" games? How can you enjoy any of those games if the Wii U sales are so low? /s
I'm buying both the digital/retail copies. I love the boxart, but I hate swapping disk.
Nintendo have survived without 3rd party since the N64 days, the last console that had 3rd party support was the SNES.
You must actually play games who figured.
The PS4 has enjoyed a very successful launch, thanks to very favorable press and the abortion that is the Xbox One. Sadly the Wii U pretty much stumbled out of the gates and haven't been able to recover since. Of course Nintendo can turn around the fortunes of the Wii U, but it will take time. In the meantime I'll be enjoying all the great games that are currently on the Wii U since I play games and not sales.
I have a launch day PS4 and a launch day Wii U. I have played my Wii U regularly since launch and struggle to find a reason to play my PS4. Once Infamous Second Son comes out I hope to change that. At the moment, I have many great Wii U titles to play with more on the way. Infamous releases this month for the PS4 , but what exclusive come after that? I'm not understanding the hype for the PS4, sure it's selling well and has 8 gigs of gddr5, but I can't play sells and ram, I want...
Didn't you know your only allowed to say Sony systems are awesome? Even if you're commenting on a Wii U article, praise can only be targeted towards Sony platforms.
Sadly there are many gamers who can't afford to own multiple consoles, so they choose the console they think will give them the most value for their money. There is nothing wrong with not having as much disposable income as you would like, but to claim another console is trash just because you can't afford it is silly. Bayonetta 2 being exclusive to the Wii U is great IMHO, because it allows the developer to focus allof their talents on the actual game instead of worrying about portin...
I refuse to play a Lego game on any other console, having two screens for the CO-OP is priceless, my kids absolutely loves it.
Actually the Wii was the fastest selling console in history.
If I were part of Slightly Mad I would have done the same thing. They refunded the guy's money which is fair.
Nintendo buys Sega. Called it.
The Wii still holds the title for fastest selling console of all time, and would have been the highest selling console of all time if Nintendo didn't pull support for it. The PS4 is selling good right now, but it numbers don't hold a candle to the Wii numbers.
The only way I see Nintendo turning the WiiU around is to completely ignore 3rd party multiplats and focus solely on providing a steady stream of exclusive content. I believe Nintendo reliance on 3rd parties early on got them into the mess they are in. Nintendo hasn't had 3rd party support since the SNES days, so they've had plenty of time to fortify their first party offerings.
The PS4 and Xbox One will usher in the third party gaming collapse. The only publishers that can afford to make games for those consoles are EA, Activision and Ubisoft. Detailing dirt on fingernails cost a lot of money and a lot of publishers will go the way of THQ trying to do so. Capcom is about to go belly up and the only thing that's saving them is the 3DS with Monster Hunter.
Nintendo actually cares about the video game industry because they are actually a video games compan...
Definitely smells like trolling
Doomed since 1889. Sadly Nintendo is the only company actually has a future in video games. The PS4 sales numbers are great right now, and I really hope they continue to do so, but I doubt the PlayStation division alone is enough to keep Sony's crumbling empire afloat. Sony actually said they "needed" the PS4 to be successful.
Microsoft on the other hand have new leadership and the Xbox division has never made Microsoft any money, the board can't wait to cu...
Good post, I'll be passing on Ubisoft games as well. Until game publishers start giving the Wii U the same support and treatment as other consoles, I won't waste my money on their product on any console.
I mainly bought my PS4 for some Sony exclusives and some interesting multiplats that wouldn't make it on the Wii U, but it's starting to look like I'll be purchasing fewer 3rd party titles. If I do choose to buy them, I'll buy them used or get them f...
Actually I'm saying I won't buy Watchdogs period. I also have a PS4 so the lack of 3rd party games on the Wii U don't really bother me, what does bother me is the double standard third parties hold Nintendo to. Third parties claim success of 1million sold on a install base of a 160 million, but cry fowl of 500k sold on an install base of 3mil. Also with most gamers here on N4G already owning atleast one of the HD twins, I don't get the lack of third party games being an excus...
Don't call Wii Sports causal, there are some hardcore players online no joke!
