Define next generation material please. If by Next Gen you mean 1080P 60 FPS then almost all of Nintendo first party games have been next gen material. A lot of good ideas here. I am actually very concerned that Nintendo isnt going the direction of any of their theories. They said that it will be different and that they will continue with wii U for the next year and a half to two years almost. If that is the case, you can bet this will be something different. I really hope we see something too. I dont want to boycott this company. The game looks good but I am idealistic enough to not buy from them fir breaking promises. There are plenty of other great racing games that I would survive without this one. But if they keep their word I will support them.
I will only buy this if they actually release it for Wii U. If they dont then they are a bunch of liars who do not deserve my money just like Ubisoft. Forza and the future GT are just fine otherwise. So they better deliver or their reputation will be shot in my oppinion.

I like this game and all of the remake side scrollers. I really believe though that either a new full 3D Mario title along the lines of 64, Sunshine, or Galaxy is the way to go in the future. I would even take a sequel to Super Mario 3D World over a new side scroller. I think the series captured side scrolling and 3D platforming perfectly in 3D World.

Exactly! This means that the Wii U is capable of even better visuals but it requires the developers to invest the proper time and energy in to getting the results the Wii U is capable of producing. This is why Third party games are not on the console and why the ones that have been are not done very well.
They want to pump them out one after another to make as much money as fast as they can. You can't do that when it takes you twice as long to produce a game for the Wii ...

Never heard of Silver Mario. I know of Metal Mario and I expect there are other diehard Mario and Nintendo f Amma s out there that will be critical of the title as well. If youre going to report on something, get the name of the character right. While it isnt a huge deal I would compare it to someone saying Rigid Snake instead of saying Solid Snake when refering to a Silver Gear, I mean Metal Gear game.
Yes they actually do. It is beautiful actually. I just picked it up on Amazon for $16.99 and i am loving it so far. For that price it is a good purchase.
