Yes, Marumaru's voice in english could shatter glass.
I agree. Nintendo has Mario and Sony has Jak and Ratchet. Microsoft needs a kid friendly icon such as the ones listed above. I would have much prefered a traditional Banjo game instead of Nuts and Bolts.
Perhaps a new Donkey Kong?
Another Knights of the Old Republic on either the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 would be bliss.
I enjoyed Lost Odyssey very much as well. I put off buying it for months because of the low scores.
Perhaps modern reviewers aren't too impressed with turn based combat on a current generation console?
It had an interesting story, great graphics and a good combat system. I don't see the problem.
What about Sword of Beserk: Gut's Revenge?
I thought it was a great game and a great hack n' slash game, but I didn't think it deserved a place in the Top 5. Perhaps if it were a Top 10.
Edit: No, I'm all for gore in video games. If a game wants to be conservitive with it's violence, that's fine and if a game wants to literally fill the screen with gore, I'm all for that as well.
I just didn't think that Sword of Beserk: Gut's Rage was of the same...
I agree.
At the time, I probably enjoyed Power Stone 2 a little more than Super Smash Bros.
I remember having some good times with a couple of friends.
Yeah, I went off on Sony for killing the Dreamcast a little bit in the article. lol
Every company is the villian at some point.
Sony is great, though.
Thanks.
I enjoyed Soul Calibur, Dead or Alive 2 and Marvel Vs Capcom 2. Out of the three, I think Marvel Vs Capcom 2 was the best.
Soul Calibur is great, but I don't think it deserves the immense praise it gets. Other fighting games competed with it at the time.
That is still in my head to this very day. Throughout the entire article, it's all I heard.
I yelled it twice. My girlfriend was worried.
I agree that the graffiti system in Jet Grind Radio was better than Jet Set Radio Future, but I love Future as well. I'm dying for a new entry in the series.
Powerstone 2 was awesome as well. I prefer Top 5 lists because you really have to make sure that each game is deserving of it's spot. Powerstone 3 with more characters, attacks and current generation graphics would be amazing.
I loved Crazy Taxi as well. It was a nominee.
A agree about the Dreamcast being full of nostalgia. I remember it so fondly.
Sorry, good sir.
I understand what you're saying jagged, but I enjoy playing video games and writing about them. I don't see what's wrong with discussing what I write.
I have no problem with people having opinions. I just like a good debate.
My friends aren't gamers. They won't debate like this. lol
It would be a lie if I said that hits don't matter, but I don't write blatant flame bait. I found the demo to be average.
Also, I don't see how my site is any more a blog than any other website. It was started roughly a week ago. Give it time.
Everything I write will be honest. No hype, no nonsense. If I buy Killzone 2, and it's an average FPS, or if I bought Final Fantasy XIII and it was an average RPG, they would both be rated accordingly.
Wow, Firm.
That fanboy joke was archaic.
I mentioned in the article that the frame rate was consistant. Perhaps graphics are the most important part of an RTS, or any other genre for that matter, but the visuals of the Halo demo were unimpressive compared to other games in the genre.
Sonya is busy looking like a man more and more each day, and Kitana is busy not being as sexy as her sister.
I agree that the Halo Wars demo was decent for a console RTS, but that shouldn't give it a free pass.
It should be compared to games in the same genre regardless of platform similar to the way PS3 and Xbox 360 exclusives are compared.
Fans of the RTS genre that for some reason don't play them on the PC will probably have a good time with Halo Wars, particularly the multiplayer.
If I were to judge this game as if I have never seen a PC RTS, I would...
I really did not like that I wasn't able to get close to the action with the camera. It's quite common in modern RTS games for the PC to be a few feet from the action if you want.
It's quite obvious that the developers were hiding some unimpressive character models, vehicle models, etc.
If it would have been an excellent demo, I would have made a more positive article. It just wasn't.
Do they have meetings for things like this similar to alcoholic anonymous?
"I just can't stop looking at pre rendered breasts!"
