SMT5 was announced in 2017, but there has apparently been development issues with it. So it's coming sometime, maybe next year.
Generally consoles that come with a game have the cost of that game incorporated into the cost of the bundle. Like for Smash Ultimate, that Switch bundle was about $60 more than a normal Switch unit, so that will still count as a sale of the Switch and Smash.
Red used exclusively Pokemon that are either given to you or you need to encounter throughout the story of Yellow. Eevee is given as a gift in Celedon City so they figured he should have an eeveelution. He already had a fire and a water type, and Karen already had Umbreon, so it made sense to give him Espeon. I do feel that Lapras fits Red better, especially since Ash had one in the show, but Espeon makes sense, too.
Let any company that wants to make a Star Wars game make a Star Wars game. It shouldn't be tied down just to one company anymore. Let Activision make Battlefront, let Ubisoft make any open world game they want, let Koei Techmo make a Warriors style game. This way multiple Star Wars game can be in development at the same time with varied ways of play and artstyle.
They still could be. There have been heavy rumors that Retro has been working on one or more games for years now, so we easily could see another DKC game before Metroid comes out
It means that the Switch is up 22% over what the PS4 had in its first 2 years. The title could have been a little more straight forward, but it's not saying that the Switch is up 22% right now, just at that time in the PS4's life.
Neither the Wii U or GameCube actually lost Nintendo money in the end. The Wii U as a console, I believe, did end up losing money from sales of the console itself but game sales and the 3DS balanced it out so they ended that 4 year period in the black with that project. The GameCube is a similar story except it was actually much cheaper to make the console and the game disks than the Wii U so the GameCube actually made money through and through. Regardless of the less-than-ideal sales of eith...
Ever since X-Men and Fantastic Four moves haven't been good, Marvel comics (owned fully by Disney) has been moving away and in some cases straight up killing off a lot of characters from those series. They focus more on tie-in stuff with the movies and seemingly forget about the X-Men and what not in other media, which is why MvCI didn't include them. So seeing a Marvel game in this era actually have at least Wolverine is a big deal.
I feel like you're probably trolling, but for sake of argument I will point out that, outside of the series you listed, Nintendo produces Fire Emblem, Xenoblade, Metroid, Star Fox, Donkey Kong, Kirby, etc, so they are capable of making more than 4 games.
This is actually a really good idea. The berries kind of replace the rocks and whatnot from the Safari Zone, but having your partner do attacks to help capture would be a cool way to integrate all the new mechanics.
Not sure exactly how LABO existing and doing cross play are bad policies. Especially that last one.
That's literally not what the quote says. He said that he is thinking about "various possibilities" in regards to a 3DS successor. This could mean a brand new portable system, or just marketing the Switch harder or make a SKU that is more handheld-friendly, i.e. smaller and lighter but can still play all Switch games. It is very possible they end up going with a brand new handheld on top of the Switch, but I think it all depends on how the Switch does in the long run for them.
Sakurai literally said in the E3 Direct that there were thousands of new changes made outside of just the graphics. It might play similarly to the previous Smash titles, but it is a new game. It's even running on a new engine with Unreal Engine 4, so they had to make it from the ground up while maybe reusing some of the same assets to build off of, like pretty much every fighting game does.
Pretty sure Breath of the Wild had a bigger budget and a bigger open world than Shenmue 3 has, so I'm not sure what you mean by "this caliber".
People say this with literally every video game movie, and none of them have been any good.
I think there were reports of GameFreak working on an HD Pokemon game as early as late 2016. This would make sense since the B-team worked on Ultra Sun/Moon, giving the main team a little over 2 years since Sun/Moon to work on something bigger.
Nintendo apparently plans on shipping over 20 million Switches this year, so they theoretically could have enough to push both Smash and Switch this year. Especially if they can get 3+ million in Japan this holiday, what with Smash, Pokemon, and Yokai Watch (3 huge Japanese sellers) coming this year.
I guess Nintendo doesn't NEED a VC, but it would certainly earn them some extra money. Not only would people who already have the Switch buy these older games, there are many people who will not buy the Switch until the VC comes. Nintendo would be stupid not to bring it eventually.
If you didn't get back into singleplayer games last year, with Breath of the Wild, Horizon: Zero Dawn, Mario Odyssey, Yakuza 0, Mario Odyssey, Persona 5, and even more, I don't think Tomb Raider alone will.
The Direct last September said 2018 games, yet it showed Luigi's Mansion and Animal Crossing. So it is very possible that we will get at least a few 2020 announcements in this one.
