In the case of my colleague edit who wrote this. He has a 600$ budget to upgrade his rig. He ended up buying a Playstation 5 instead, because the GPU + rest of his upgrades were out of the budget

Well. Not really, in Spider Man we didn't have issues and went 6-7h with it.
On Astrobot it does consume the battery faster because.. it's a game that showcases the controller..

Yeah and you can always use old storage to switch and forth to the internal drive
Honestly when talking to Sony we asked about that and about improvements on the software (some things that need changes)
They commented that future updates will allow the console some new features, especially ones requested by the community.
It feels this is the start of a journey.
Let's wait to see what actual improvements happened tbh
