It's not about being perfect. Some people take review scores way too literally.
Critics give their professional opinion on games and if a game does get a 10 it just reflects on how much he/she enjoyed the game as a whole.
You can find fault within anything if you look hard enough but if the pros outweighs the cons and doesn't take the player away from enjoying it fully, then it shouldn't really affect the overall opinion or review score.
I'm split between SM3 and SMW.
3 had the best power ups while World had the best levels and of course, Yoshi!
Most people are getting the switch version over Wii U because let's face it Wii U is on its way out so a lot of people who have a Wii U are switching (no pun intended) to switch.

It's not a smart business to put two of your biggest heavy hitters along side one another. Also if they did release those games side by side, what would entice people to buy one during the holiday season?

I don't really like the boost mechanic that much.
I like to explore the world and take everything in when I play games but these games encourages player to zip past everything.
For me Sonic was more about choosing between going fast or take your time and explore hidden areas for secrets.
