But if Microsoft raised price back to $399 in Jan, would Sony have to do anything really? If they did and MS raised it, Sony would have cut their profit margins for a temp boost and no reason really.
People want more variety instead of sequels, new ideas but then get upset when they're given a consistently good supply of cool indie titles on both GwG and PS+. Also, its the start of a new gen guys. Both Sony/MS can't offer that many big retail titles. At some point Knack, Killzone, InFamous, etc will go on Plus (and Forza 5, Deadrising 3, etc on GwG) but I'm sure both want to wait as long as they can into 2015 or longer.

It has to do with the fact that the 550k PS4 units sold in September is the 2nd highest selling month for ANY console in NPD history other than the Wii in 2008. That isn't something provided by Bungie or Activision, its math.

Why get something for something that was meant to be free? I get it, it sucks to have it delayed but no one is paying for DriveClub PS+ Edition. I mean, if Pix The Cat had been delayed a week on Plus or Spelunky no one would bat an eye, just wait patiently. It sucks, but asking for more free stuff after getting delayed in getting free stuff seems a bit much.

The PS2 dominated holiday 2000 despite the DC having far better games and a cheaper price tag and there were great N64 games released that year too. Same way PS4 will be more successful this holiday than WiiU/XB1 in US IMO.
Personally I would predict Wii U to do better than XB1 in Nov/Dec due to Nintendo brands always receiving solid holiday bumps. I think the lust for the PS4 from the general consumer will overshadow Halo MCC a little bit and Sony usually kills it with good ...
Sony is getting to the point Nintendo is at where it is impossible to satisfy fans due to a wealth of first party IPs. That said, Sony is really good about constantly introducing new IPs as older fan favorites drift away so I don't mind all that much.
I don't know man. I love my Vita but even if it had MicroSD/SD I don't think the general consumer would care much more. Maybe a small, limited boost from core gamers but that'd be it.

There has to be some sort of mix up here. Why would MS pay $2 billion for a studio if Notch will own the IP? Mojang owns the trademark anyway so Notch can't do anything with the IP without the trademark. I'm pretty sure Mojang would give Microsoft rights to the IP, this makes no sense without that. Also, Notch could just be receiving royalties from being the original creator of the IP.

Mojang AB owns the Minecraft trademark and Notch owns Mojang, so in turn wouldn't MS own Minecraft then if they bought Mojang since the company owns the trademark, etc?
That's like saying you're not a racist while not doing anything about the minority being beaten to death in front of you. I don't really mind this DLC, wasn't going to get it anyway and will still play the main game with friends, but Bungie is just as much responsible for this. They made the content and helped Activision structure the DLC this way. Even if they were told to do it "or else", they're still a willing party involved in it.
