I don't think this looks at the bigger picture enough. Yeah sure, PS+ is mostly noted for it's instant games and discounts, but I think there is more to come from the service in the future. Services like PlayStation Now may end up on the PS+ service, but that could present different tiers of PS+, so you can pay to have everything, or standard PS+.

I'm rambling, but the point is, the service is great now, but I don't think it will just be about the instant gam...

As good as some of the PSN games are, there will still be a lot of big disc based titles that will attempt to, and towards the end will more than likely succeed in squeezing the juice out of the PS4. It is an exciting time when you know that this is the beginning and there is a lot more to come from developers.

Im really excited by the possibilities and capabilities of this current gen! Bigger, denser, detailed... Bring it to life!

That just sounds immense.

I love the fact that this is catered for current gen rather than older gen ports.

Depends on the information I guess. I go to youtube if I am after a visual walk through, or to look at easter eggs and other peoples antics in games like GTA, but if I am after news, I genuinely just come straight to N4G.

Maybe it is bad that I only use the one site to find my news, but it saves a hell of a lot of time for me.

I'm all for another Call of Duty, what I am not all up for though is a repainted old Call of Duty. This has been the issue time and time again.

Call of Duty set the standard for modern FPS, but has since sat on that knowledge with minimal improvements. If the team was to strip back to basics with a new engine (The engine part they are doing) and build from the ground up, I would be interested. But I have to see it to believe it.

I would like to think that when a company goes exclusive with there game, it is because they love the system they are developing for and want to make the best possible game that takes advantage of that system rather than splitting development time between 3 systems. I know everyone has to make money in order to survive, but I hate that things can so easily be dictated by the profits.

I am getting caught up in the MGS hype, i have to say. MGS4 was one of the best games I have ever played, it made me very nostalgic for the original so I am glad to hear that psyhco mantis is making a return!!! The controller swap from the original was genius, pure genius!

Polygon(e) has done a lot of self harm over the past year. They continually spammed gaming news with their nonsense and then began to double back on itself and now, like you said, there will be no more clicking on Polygon, because I don't want to give them any ad revenue

Maybe I am being silly

I do agree with the fact that the store is overly priced when compared to the rest of the internet, but on the plus side, things like the introduction of Amazon's digital playstation store will start to drive lower digital prices and competition. I hope that is the case anyway...

But to be fair, I still enjoy and always will enjoy the physical product over the digital.

I think cloud technology has a lot of potential, but i'm always skeptical until I hear it. I don't like the idea that to harness the full potential of my machine, I have to have stable internet access.

There are always a lot of people and devices connected to the wifi at home, so it's never a great speed.

@sprinterboy

I was discussing that with someone a few weeks back on here. We need a new WW2 game that takes advantage of the next gen. It should be really dark and gritty, just like the war was. Atmosphere will play a huge part.

But then you could have the new features integrated like twitch influences where twitch users basically act as the spy for the enemy and they get chances to put your co ordinates through to have mortar fire sent your way, or a sniper...

Just means a US import! Longer, but worth it.

I think it is hard to recapture the glory of the old days because back then it was fantastic, but it may not come across the same if it was released today, exactly the same, it probably wont feel as good because of how everything has advanced. Gaming has to keep moving forward becaue it feels like we need to be blown away by every new release. Classics are classics for a reason and we love them for that, but sadly, that is why remakes are hard to achieve.
