The reason I buy into consoles over PC is because, firstly, they are cheaper in the long run. It is a one off payment for the system, that doesn't need to be upgraded or tampered with in order to play the next high end game, which brings me nicely to the second reason. The exclusives.
If I was making a lot more money than I do, I would have a high end gaming PC.
Is this the time or place for a "that's what she said"....
Are you a fan?
That storm better be a close one
Would love the tumbler...
It was pretty much the same last gen, things take time and as an early adopter and a fan, you are aware that the evolution will not happen over night.
There is a lot I am looking forward to this generation, and they are only the things that I know about.
They're going to drop C bombs (crash bandicoot)
Seriously though, E3 should be decent. Expecting an EU announcement for playstation now and shet load of unnannounced exclusives.
On the official playstation blogs, there should be an accurate countdown for the store updates.
@Eonjay
That is actually fantastic, kind of like a SEGA hits collection, but the PSN version. This needs to get some momentum.
@rodiabloalmeida It made you sad? Got to have a little fun in the midst of this merciless console war haven't we?
The store hasn't updated for me yet!! Is just me? UK, England 14:32
Maybe the X1 was too Cloudy for Daylight....
Is this DLC, or is it a new standalone game, because I thought we saw the last of Fifa releasing X amount of versions per year.
100 days is far away :(
I know for a fact that we will expect to see sales figures from both camps. I really hope Sony blow my mind, I have a feeling they will, but i'm expecting a lot of exclusive game announcements, an EU date for Playstation Now and Future firmware updates.
I would also like to see the release of a new Play TV as the old one doesn't work with the PS4 yet and nor did it play HD Channels here in the UK.
It's the key PR word for Microsoft this gen... Until I actually see something worth shouting and raving about, I can't get excited and the fact that people are plugging it without even seeing the results... it just doesn't make sense.
I haven't, that game is a challenge.
The cheat books were brilliant as well. I remember there being a cheat code for crash bandicoot which allowed you to play a demo of crash racers!!!
Bit of an ignorant point of view there. These guys are fantastic at what they do and it is most likely done in spare time...
I don't think this looks at the bigger picture enough. Yeah sure, PS+ is mostly noted for it's instant games and discounts, but I think there is more to come from the service in the future. Services like PlayStation Now may end up on the PS+ service, but that could present different tiers of PS+, so you can pay to have everything, or standard PS+.
I'm rambling, but the point is, the service is great now, but I don't think it will just be about the instant gam...
Free running itself isn't innovative as it has been around for a good few years now... Just look at the Assassins creed games, especially Brotherhood. I still like the idea of it being implemented into games, especially if somebody can redefine online play by usefully having this feature.
I do however think that the title is a little out though... It isn't innovation, but a step in the right direction.
