It will be nice when all of this is over and the dust settles so we can all see what is what.
N4G is getting plastered with articles and comments sections littered with jaded opinions for and against. Same people, same agenda.
Hope it's over soon.
My theory is that Microsoft always expected the integration and had already planned to do all of this but revealing it during the investigations works better in their favour because it looks as though they're changing policies to offer solutions. A sort of keep your cards close to your chest situation.
It's a long term game and they know it
Made me cry this has 💙
Edit
This should be top news on N4G
I'd love both! Especially miss Resistance. So many memories
@SonySlave
I swear you write stuff knowing that your just stirring flame.
Of course Activision want this merger, it's within their interest so they're going to say and do what ever it takes just like Microsoft.
This is an historical merger and will/should be scrutinised at every corner.
I love the honesty of this. Most things ever created are inspired by something else, all of our games included.
It's refreshing when people openly talk about this.
Looking forward to seeing the next Fable, really love this series.
To be fair, it sounds like that's a you issue.
Every game doesn't have to be about a straight white male who lives the conventional bible life style. Life is a saga with issues and stories about everything. If a developer wants to tell THEIR story in x way, then that's up to them and YOU as a consumer have the choice to either buy into it or not.
If you can't open your mind to the concept that people are different and can be represented on...
Have your opinion Vengeance but don't try to portraying as the fact of developers.
People liked the game, people didn't like the game. Individual preference.
Personally thought it was amazing from start to finish. Left me thinking about it for months after completing.
This is more to do with the giant acquisitions of Bethesda and the on going Activision as they factually have a much bigger stake in the gaming market than say Obsidian and Playground. Not saying people don't or wouldn't care about the smaller purchases but there is more at risk for the audience on the bigger ones
The question now is, will they learn and attempt again?
It may have done well if it was a new IP without the use of Saints Row as a name but you basically rebuilt the game for a new audience
It 100% should not be shown until they are confident and ready to show it otherwise they create negativity around the wait and any potential delays that follow.
Take your time, work the game and then reveal when ready. Best business practice possible.
@witch
Not trolling or stiring flame. Pointing out the idiocy of a man we all know is full of it.
Glad you read the blog though 👍👏
False hype. They probably knew it was never going to make the date from the beginning but needed to act like it was to get people to believe in them.
That's then problem

Phil full of it Spencer.
So much manure coming out of his mouth constantly
It's hard to listen to this bloke, absolutely full of it
That picture alone is a little horrifying
I personally think that the push into GaaS by Sony is less about surviving and more about making sure they have a piece of the pie. It doesn't detract from their model of quality single player games and only serves to HELP keep fueling the business in their endeavors.
Survival is as much about evolving and we have already started to see the gaming landscape do that.
What Mark Darrah is saying rings true for me personally. Microsoft seem daring when i...
Don't really get these articles. Logic tells us that yes, the ps4 will eventually get faded out, sooner rather than later
I like that. Good summary.
