Love the support they're showing this game! It could easily have been left in its original state and I'd have not complained so this is an amazing bonus!

You won't see it outside of competing exclusives though unless 3rd party developers choose to start ignoring it or Microsoft themselves drop it.
Think it's more to do with the fact the article starts off by digging at others instead of focusing on Game Pass itself.

A version of COD will no doubt run on Nintendo. Unless Microsoft stream it though, it won't be the same version available on PS/PC/Xbox.
Nintendo is not built to run those games.
My guess is that they'll attempt to stream the game which will also lead to Microsoft looking to push GP through Nintendo as well

I'd argue that the majority of xbox owners don't realise the direction of this subscription model.
They see it as they're getting access via their xbox not that they'll get rid of their xbox and use other devices.
You personally may see these benefits and the future plan but most don't
