I am on a 30 day free trial right now, and I will NOT be renewing. I don't see any point in paying for this service.
There is only 1 game in October worth buying, and that is AC3.
Huh? In the other AC games we also went through a historical timeline. There is nothing different about AC3 in this regard.
The problem has been the complete lack of challenge in combat.. The last 3 AC games have been such a cakewalk its almost impossible to die. That removes all the intensity, and excitement from the combat.
AC2 had the worst AI this generation, and totally ruined the game.
Actually many will because there Wii's have been in there closets for years collecting dust. The Wii U is going to be a very tough sell for the majority of Wii owners.
No core gamers did NOT ignore the PS3, and yes core gamers will ignore the Wii U.
Why would anybody buy a digital copy of a game if it is the same price as the disk copy? Since you can trade or sell the disk back, and get some of your money back. So you would actually be paying a lot more just to buy the digital version.
The more they diversify away from assassinations the better. Being a Assassin has never been a selling point for me. In fact I would prefer not being a Assassin.
The selling point for AC games for me has always been about playing in epic historical settings in a free roaming world.
Yea there isnt a reason to buy a Wii U unless your a fan of Nintendo's 1st party games. I don't have any interest in Nintendo's 1st party games at all. So I cann't see there ever being a reason for me to buy the Wii U.

I don't even know why I bought the Wii in the first place. I guess the only reason I bought it was everybody else was buying it, and I was just a mindless sheep following the pack.
Very smart move by Sony as long as this comes in at $149. A $149 PS3 would sell like crazy for a very, very long time. I don't think they plan to release the PS4 til 2014 as they want recoup the massive losses on the PS3, and maybe even make a little profit.
The PS3 wouuld put up monster sales in 2012, and 2013 with a $149 model.
Anyway I will take a close look at those games later, but I seriously doubt there is a system seller that will make me want to buy a Wii U.
I am not a Nintendo fan, and have no interest in the type of first party games they make. So it would almost certainly take something something from a 3rd party if I ever buy a Wii U.

How many of those 51 will be delayed? Probably 20. This happens every console launch. There are always a ton of games that are either suppose to come out near or at launch, and they end up getting delayed
Yea the WiiU is not a real next Gen console its best to wait for either the PS4 or the 720.
I also disagree. This is just too much too fast, and is bound to be plagued with problems, and troubles. Maybe the Xbox after the 720 could have something like that, but not the 720. Its just too early.
While I strongly disagree with you on waiting; I do understand your point. I really wish Ubisoft would reward people who pre order, and buy the game on day 1 instead of rewarding the people who wait many months to get the game.
I suppose playing the game on Oct 30 will have to be reward enough for us early buyers.

But there is no actual sign of big budget games going extinct. I don't see any evidence that they are going to stop being made.
First the console that have been released 1st have never finished 1st in any generation. So giving the Wii U a head start is not a problem at all.
Second both Sony, and MS need to make a profit. So they need to get as much as they can out of the 360, and the PS3 before moving on.
