Pixel a extra large soda cann;t at all be compared to a 100 hour game.
I would much rather have a game that is broken after you hit the 100 hour mark then to have a game that only last 20 hours or less
Its those games that you only play 20 hours or less that are the real ripoffs.
If you put 100 hours into agame you have already gotten far more then your money's worth. You cann't complain at that point.
Its very a smart move they just want to get the cheapest possible PS3 on the market to increase sales. The PS3 has always been way to expensive and has payed the price for it this generation. They just want to get the hardware into as people's hands as possible this point.

Well cerrtainly the 16 GB model will not be more then $199 at the very most, and probably even cheaper then that that. Actually wouldn't be surprised if it came out $149.
I think Sony realses they really need to get the price down so they can finish this generation by making back a lot of the money they have loss, and you do that by software sales, and order to get as many software sales as possible you need to get your hardware to as many people as possible.

This HD upgrade, and collection garbage neeeds to stop. It is totally killing the industry. We need more new IP's, and innovation not more old, stale games.

Yea it would be nice if they offered a little more on there trade-ins, but you have to take what you can get.
I will add a 7th reason. The 720 will probably come out in in late 2013 while the PS4 will probably come out in late 2014. The PS3 has more life left in it, and if your buying a console this late that is a very important factor.
A generation is only truely over when there is nothing but budget games, and sports games coming out for the consoles. This generation is not even close to being over.
There are only 2 games I am planning on buying the rest of the year.
