Sony is not doomed, but they certainly have not been leading the way. They have been bringing up the rear this entire generation.
What they need more then anything is to drop the price of the PS3 to $199 THIS year.
Brotherhood is was already the 3rd part of the story arch. Like I said the franchise is already past the point of a triology since we know AC3 is coming which will be the 4th game.
All those plans for a triology went out the window with the massive sales of AC1, and AC2.
I am not even saying its going to be a motion controller. The control devices could be something entirely new that no one expects.
What I am saying is that none of the consoles will launch with a traditional controller. The days of the traditional controller are dead, and yes the Wii is totally to blame for that.
As far as Nintendo I think they will go back to 3rd place in the console market as neither Sony or MS will be caught with their pants down sitting on t...
That was the original plan. All that went out the window with the massive sales of AC1, and AC2.
By the way the story arch is already past being a triology as AC3 will be the 4th game in the story arch after Brotherhood.
As far as closure. If it means getting read of the Sci-Fi crap, and just focusing totally on history for future AC games then I am all for it.
I hate the Sci-Fi crap in the game,. and I hate Desmond, and all the other modern chract...
"- There are 37 titles in the working for Sony platforms, but most will not be revealed until a European event (likely Gamescom)"
Looks like E3 is going to be very underwheliming for Sony
"- Sony will reveal titles that will not be available until Christmas 2012 at E3"
Again looks like E3 will be very underwhelming for Sony.
All Next Gen consoles will launch with something other then a traditonal controller. That is just a simple fact. The Wii has forced everybodies hand. Every console from here on out is guaranteed to launch with something other then a traditional controller.
Marketing is so overrated. What a waste of a $100 million.
Um it is not old news. They are not having a new NBA game in Fall 2011 either. That is brand new news. This is the 2nd year in a row with no EA basketball game.
They won't have a new basketball game til Fall 2012. That is 3 full freaking years in between games. It shows EA is dead serious about fixing the franchise, and delivering an amazing game.
If you had even bothered to read the interview you would have know that he is seeking a jury trial.
I don't. That would be the most boring thing possible. The whole selling point of the AC franchise is being able to play in a epic historical period. I would NEVER touch a AC game set in a Modern setting.
Desmond is boring, stupid and a total waste, and should be taking out of the franchise, and no AC game should EVER be set in a Modern setting.

Wow if true it does not get any better then that. That is the absolute best possible time, and location for a AC game. It simply doesn't get any better then that.
In war there is always collateral damage.
Agree we are martyrs for the cause. We will fight to the last drop of our blood.
We are willing to go 48 hours or even longer without PSN. No sacrafice is too great for us.

First of all you should NEVER purchase a game because of a advertisement. I mean that is crazy. I have NEVER in my lifetime purchased a game because of a advertisement.
Second advertisements are way overrated as far as selling video games go. They can bring the game to the attention of casual gamers, and generate hype, but advertisements very rare actually sell the game. Their are very people who will throw down $60 on a game just because of a advertisement.

"PC has always been a test market for what is going to come to consoles later. Most people on pc now buy games on DD, this will filter down to consoles wait and watch."
No its hasn't. The PC is not at all a test market for consoles. The markets are very different from each other, and have very different audiences.
PC gaming is about getting the most out of your system, and having mods, and sitting in front ...

Think about it, why would MS or Sony want to share its DD profit with Gamestop?"
imvix you are discounting just how powerful, and how much leverage Gamestop has. The reasons I listed above are why Sony, and MS won't do that.
Though its possible one of them might sign a exclusive agreement with Gamestop in the post DD area to only carry, and promote their products, and sell their consoles.
imvix I think Gamestop will find someway to get into the console digital distrubution market.
Gamestop has a lot more leverage then you think in this situation. They have become so big, and powerful that the console manufactors don't want to screw them, but instead would rather partner with them because they still are going to need a retail presense in Gamestop for selling consoles, accesories, and yes for promoting, and hyping games, and getting preorders(I believe Gamesto...
This has NOTHING to do with Gamestop caring about PC games. What Gamestop wants to make sure is that they protect their future, and that means having a solid foot in the DD market.
The console market might very rapidly move away from retail games to digital distribution in the next 10 years. Gamestop has to make sure they are prepared for this possibility. Otherwise they could quickly collaspe, and go bankrupt.
I am a PS3 owner, and about the only games I play are multiplatform games. Just don't have any interest in the PS3 exclusives.
Though there are so very few games that even interest me at all anymore.
