Bad demos will certainly hurt sales of good games. In fact there is nothing more damaging to sales of a good game then to have a bad demo.
So publishers have to way the risk of releasing a demo with the rewards.
There is also a Dynasty Warriors 7: Empires demo that is coming tomorrow which single handily makes this the best PSN update in months.
Its been a long time since I have anticipated a game as much as DW7:Empires.

1 or 2 hours to download what a bunch of horse crap. DW7:Empires will be first full length PS3 game I am going to download off PSN(because the US is not getting a disc version because of no English voices), and Ii scared to death that it will take me 35 or 40 hours to download.
I agree. I am going to ride out my PS3 as long as possible before moving onto the Next Gen.
Last Gen I sold my PS2 right before the 360 came out, and bought a 360 on launch night I was so eager to start a new gen.

Well that really suck no used games, AND requiring a always online internet connection.
Requiring a always online internet connection is really terible. If your having internet problems or Xbox Live is down you cann't even play a single player game. So you will be totally locked out of your own system.
What happens if I get disconnected when playing a single player(will I be able to pickup where I left off or will I have to restart from my last save point)?
I wouldn't be surprised at all. I didn't think the PS4 would come out til fall of 2014. No way would be the PS4 be revealed this February if its not going to come out til fall of 2014.
I was actually shocked when it was announced that it would be revealed Feb 20. Now I am betting it won't be revealed til E3, and won't come out in the US til fall of 2014.
Usually not a good idea to try to convert old, long delayed titles to a next generation system. Its best to just go ahead, and release it on the Last Gen system even if the Next Gen system is already out.
Just because a Next Gen system is out does not mean they stop releasing games on the Last Gen systems. Heck the PS2 had a TON of games that came out WAY after the PS3 was released.

Well technically Next Gen has already started with the Wii U. So you have already made it to the end of this generation as the PS3, 360, and Wii are actually Last Gen now with the release of the WiiU.
Anyway I would rather not see the PS4 until Fall 2014. I want to get as much out of Last Gen as possible, and PS3 is NOT outdated. The PS3 can last through 2014.
Sony learned there lesson with a $599 PS3 at the very most the PS4 will be $399.

They didn't finsh the statement. The full statement is; Sony will not block used games unless Microsoft also blocks used games.
Either both will do it or neither will do it. One would never do it without the other other because it would kill sales of there console.

Actually 90% of games would sell less. Gamers would be a lot less willing to take risks since they cann't get any of there money back, and they would mostly stick to big name well established franchises. All other games would sell less, and it would make publishers even less likely they they are now to make new IP's.

Sony won't use it at all unless MS also blocks used games sales. Otherwise it would kill PS4 sales.
Neither Sony nor MS will block used games sales by themselves because it would give the other side an unbeatable advantage.
Heres what would happen. Big name established games will sell more while the other 90% of games will sell less. People would be much less likely taking risks buying games because they know they will not be able to get any of there money back.
So overall this would be very bad for the industry, and mean even less new IP's since gamers will be even less likely to take a risk.
No all they need is for the 720 to block used games to. Either both MS, and Sony will block used games or neither will block used games

Yeap. I canceled my preorder for R.U.S.E. which I was going to buy on day 1 because the demo sucked. Almost 2 years later I bought it used, and found it was actually a good game.
So Ubisoft lost a sale because of a bad demo of a good game.
