I think that the frequency with which Turn10 releases their games played a hand in this.. Polyphony took 6 years in making GT5 a fact that was evident in the details of the premium cars, insane accuracy of tracks, and top notch physics... So the 3 years between GT5 and GT6 was spent refining the experience resulting in GT6 being IMO the best GT to date.. Turn 10 churns games out so farequently they literally have no time for polish...
Yes that may be true but having to pay to $20 to ship his PSU in seperately from his console and possibly not recieve it back for weeks is a corporate level policy. This policy is what began the negative encounter..
Being one of the best and having lap times that could challenge the best in the world go hand in hand. They are not mutually divorced scenarios. They determine the pool of participants for GT Academy based off of lap times. Therefore to be the best your lap times must reflect this status.

They didn't even include GT6 in this award as a nominee because of its late launch date.. So Forza 5 won between itself, an F1 game, and Need for Speed: Rivals... Wow thats so awesome...ly underwhelming..
Still doesnt explain how Polyphony Digital managed to replicate more tracks with precision in GT6... Even Nurburgring Nordschleife the worlds longest and most geologically diverse track is recreated with painstaking detail and precision.. We're finally getting a little peek behind the curtain of Turn 10 and realizing they've engaged in to much puffery.. Unless Sony has an exclusivity deal with HelloGames.. There's a clause in that parity agreenent for this scenario and Sony has gone on record courting this developer...
From everything I've read, heard, or seen the prices havent necessarily gone up just alot harder to save up the money especially for the more expensive cars...I've also read that race payouts are much lower, no manufacture affinity so every part and upgrade is full retail cost, and you aren't awarded free cars for completing events.. Turn 10 has commited a huge sin with their Microtransaction model. For starters the in game cost of everything has gone up significantly.
One of the more expensive cars(Lotus E21 F1 car) in the game was like $6million or 10, 000 tokens I believe... In order to get enough tokens to buy that car you would spend $100!

Regardless of your little "story" GT Academy actually brings talent up and puts them on real world teams so the statement is factually correct..
The thought of what GT7 will be like on PS4 after playing the masterpiece that is GT6 on PS3 is blowing my mind right now.. Polyphony nailed it with GT6 on 7 year old hardware with 512 mb of split ram! With 8 gigs of GDDR5 at their disposal one can only ponder the brilliance Kaz and his team will cook up..
Until then GT6 and Driveclub will scratch that racers itch for me :0)
Considering that Cerny detailed that they could get code up and running on the system in as little as a month and the gestation period for games on PS4 is far quicke4 than PS3 its safe to assume the high quality games will cone much sooner and more frequently.. Sony is on it this gen..

Im absolutely in love with GT6 on PS3.. I plan on picking up Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus Tearaway on Vita all of which should satiate my gaming desires until March and Infamous: SS.. SO in short wating for E3 will not be a problem for me thanks to Sony's commitment to the all three platforms :0)
Agreed! As THE game that opened my eyes to what next gen gaming could be on the PS3 and a game that 785 hours of my life was invested its easily my most wanted sequel.. A true sequel to Warhawk would be on its own justify my PS4..
Ironic how the highest rated next gen game is an indie on PS4 that is free! But I thought PS4 didnt have "any" games? Cut the crap Sony didnt take made for PS3 games and force them onto PS4 to bolster their launch lineup and frankly didnt need to.. Perfectly happy playing the exclusives, third party, and indie titles until Sony unleashes the might of their first party..
Considering that the attach rate for killzone and knack were very high and also that PS4's are completely sold out it means there really aren't new customers to buy the games are there? Common sense will take you far in life..
