@neogeo. Are you kidding me? Sony as a whole is a giant compared to Nintendo. Sony has video games, tvs, surround sound, camcorders, digital cameras, physical mediums, hdmi and component cables, movie and tv cameras, camera film, movie and tv studios, music labels, desktops, laptops, cell phones etc..
Nintendo is a video game company and nothing more.. Playstation is Sony's biggest profit generating brand, but that profit is offset by the losses in many of their other di...
@ohohoho Considering that Microsoft is getting all kinds of preferential treatment in the form first access to BF4 dlc, exclusive content for Fifa and Madden and the timed exclusivity of Plants vs Zombies garden warfare its safe to say Microsoft gave them a lot of money..
pasteisten to the official playstation blogcast where they had Shu count down his top 10 PS3 games and when he gets to number one and the reason why he chose it.. He begings to cry, so touching and so moving.. Shuhei Yoshida is exactly the kind of leader Sony needed and Playstation fans deserved :0)
Its episode 099: best of a generation
Dont forget Rime either..
So Killzone, Resogun, Contrast, Blacklight, Warframe, Assassins creed, Call of Duty, Battlefield, Need for Speed, Madden, Fifa, Nba2k14 etc are irrelevant? Why is it so far fetched that UK gamers liked the concept of Knack and actually desired to play it?
"All Playstation legacy titles" that means every greatest hits game from ps1 all the way to the ps3.
@a08andan Well thats why they are using the "critically acclaimed" or "legacy" titles.. All of the legacy titles are best sellers that made Sony profit.. I could easily see Sony justifying the free access for PS+ subscribers and think of how many more subscriptions and console sales that setup would drive...
Im hoping its a perk for PS+ subscribers.. This would be the proverbial "Feather in the Cap" for Sony and PS+
@Death I love how you Sony detractors continously bring up the fact that PS3 sales are slightly more than half of what the PS2 accomplished.. Sales are never guaranteed, especially in this market.. Mainstream gamers are incredibly fickle and will go wherever their friends go.. For Sony to come back the way they did despite the terrible launch and outsell the 360 year on year is tremendous.. All of that momentum has carried into the ps4.
"Sony has 17 first party studios....
Ok you dont know when uncharted will be out because the timetable for development is apparently faster by several months at least on PS4.
Second dont be "that guy" and nit pick spelling and grammar. I couldn't remember how it was spelled.
Third I forgot the Order was a Ready At Dawn game.
Lastly I havent heard they were going multiplat so excuse me for not knowing...
With Stig and Balrog back at the helm expect Santa Monicas next game to be incredible...
@WB Yes it is a long haul but Sony has momentum at launch. Last gen Sony launched a year later, more expensive, more complex, very few games, 10 million unit deficit, and constant "Sony is doomed" articles yet they managed to overcome all of that and match lifetime sales of the 360..
If you think that Microsoft can stop a company like that without any of those disadvantages you are only kidding yourself...
Sony will have the strongest first and th...
Driveclub, Infamous, the Order 1886, Uncharted, and Rhyme is an oustanding lineup. To think we still dont know what Sony Santa Monica, Media Molecule, Ready at Dawn, Naughty Dog's second team, That Game Company, Pixel Junk, Sony Japan, Sony Bend, Quantic Dream etc are working on.. We already know GT7 is coming which is almost a guranteed stunner.. First party has and continues to be Sony's biggest advantage... With no hardware disadvantages to speak of its going to be incredible to s...
@WB History is on Sony's side on this one.. For Sony to have this much momentum in Microsoft's strongest territories doesn't bode well for MS in terms of achieving nor maintaining a lead..
If being outsold in every territory includind North America which is traditionally Xbox's strongest is considered "neck and neck" then yes you are right.. /s
I bought KZ: Mercenary at launch :/
Amazing game though so no regrets!
I disagreed because a franchises sales history is hardly indicative of its potential.. Uncharted sales paled in comparisson to Uncharted 2 and the system selling power that game had.. Infamous Second Son has alot of hype and will push consoles because of the exposure and the relative lack of AAA exclusives currently..
Just like Dead Rising took advantage of the same scenario despite the previous two titles not being system sellers..
Demo kiosks are at nearly all major retailers and for those that already have the consoles demos are abundant and free in the online stores of their respective consoles..
@Ricky Considering TitanFall can be played on a pc and 360 I hoghly doubt it will be the system seller you think.. Will it sell X1's of course but since its not the only way to play that hurts its system selling abilities..
@Tim Infamous isn't even close to being a shootet.
@3-4-5 He wasn't refering to durability. He was refering to the advancement of said hardware. Its telling that the gamecube, Wii, and WiiU all have the same cpu/gpu but was upclocked and slightly improved with each subsequent console. Nintendo's build quality is legendary but in terms of bleeding edge tech has been insufficient since the Gamecube..
Just look at their online infrastructure, it is lagging way behind Microsoft and Sony's respective networks.. They h...
