It's very easy to say that, that he is making excuses. But nah, I think Nintendo is just in a very hard slump. But they have a method to this madness. Reggie mentioned the NX in the Digital Event. That shows they are not delusional and are trying to fix the problems they are facing in the current market. I felt sorry he had to mention it when they said they weren't...but glad he did!
Finally, an article I can agree with. Look, I was underwhelmed by their Digital Event just like any Nintendo fan who has been reading all the rumors about what Nintendo will show at E3. Those articles were very awesome. It was hard to not feel a "that was it"?
BUT...at the end of the day most of what they showed you can play this fall. Super Mario Maker, Yoshi's Wooly World, Star Fox: Zero and Xenoblade X should be the four big quality games for Wii U this holid...

That has always been their lane since N64. FIRST PARTY. Anyone who is not in denial knows this. Hopefully that can change but I never see it being exactly like Sony with third party. Hopefully they can woo the Rockstar's, Sqaure Enix's and Ubisoft's to put all their big games on Nintendo.

You haven't lost me. I will buy Super Mario Maker with a big ass smile on my face come September. I knew you guys were not going to beat the PS4 when I bought Wii U. I am glad you guys are not losing any money and making a profit just like the Gamecube era. Wii U has great games and hopefully NX will match and exceed them. Peace and love.

I bought the Wii U knowing good and well they were in a PS2 vs. Gamecube type of situation with Sony again. And you know what? I didn't give a damn and don't regret it one bit. I had both a PS2 and a Gamecube and enjoyed the heck out of Gamecube and PS2. Who doesn't own multiple consoles these days and considers themselves hardcore? I don't miss out on classic games.

I'll play it on Wii U as the ultimate send off I suppose. But hopefully the NX can play Wii U software. That way, some Wii U haters can play many of the great games and see that there was quality games on the system they despised.
I honestly think that many of the vocal haters of Nintendo on N4g won't buy an NX even if it is the best console to ever be released. They are just pretending. They won't ever buy Nintendo.
