That is usually around holiday months. But games like Animal Crossing have known to do amazing things to Nintendo hardware in Japan when they release. Maybe Wii U will get one. I am betting on Mario Maker to be the next huge boost for Wii U. :) Devil's Third shot Amazon Japan to the top 5 today so who knows. ;p

I don't know why Nintendo won't bundle super rare limited edition Amiibo's with the Wii U console. Even exclusive ones that only those console buyers will ever get.
Example: Super Mario Bros 3. (Mario with Racoon Tail) Amiibo, Super Mario World (Mario with cape), Ocarina Edition Amiibo (N64 style Link with Master Sword)....Splatoon limited Amiibo holding the NES Zapper.....

They should of gave up hating when it was revealed that in the time it took PS4 to sell 1.5 million in Japan (15 months), Wii U had sold 1.65 million. And the GameCube had sold 1.9 million.

A smart move would put Diddy Kong on his Plane/Rocket kart with a special course dedicated (diddycated lol) to him in Mario Kart 8 and get him super popular again.
Then release a Diddy Kong Racing for day 1 launch title of the "NX" while they are making the next installment of Mario Kart that will take more time.
Sorry to inform you, but Wii U is $299.99. They have more things they can do to lure in more gamers. They are not desperate obviously building value letting the awesome games speak r themselves first.

Much love to my Wii U, it keeps getting better and better. I honestly have no clue what some gamers are waiting on. Maybe a price drop but with the upcoming games (an open world HD Zelda being the huge one) and the games on the shelf which some are already modern classics in my book....I feel the system deserves to sell at least close to the N64 lifetime.
If Star Fox has online multiplayer that would be so awesome...even local...
Splatoon to me is the new Animal Crossing for Nintendo as far as it has the ability to stay popular like Animal Crossing has since launching on the Gamecube. Splatoon is arguably growing more popular than the awesome Pikmin already in terms of excitement.
But if they were to announce Super Mario Bros. 4 or the next 3D Mario...well you see just how popular that would explode the internet and why fanboys ignore Nintendo's new IP's.
