I played through it a few times to try killing off the "annoying" characters and never noticed a single performance issue. That was on the Pro console though

I'd love to be trapped in the goldmine that is the PS 4. Do you think the head honchos at Sony feel trapped?
Supporting their previous systems isn't something new for Sony this generation, it's what they've always done and they get a lot of respect for it.
And on PS 5 it will be. And GG will make it the best they can on the PS 4 also, it's not like they're gimping the game just because it's appearing on two different systems. PS 4 is obviously very capable of running the engine.
The PS 5 will look better, run better, and be more immersive due to their focus on audio aspects and haptic feedback etc.
This says more about Sony's good track record of supporting their "previous" system...
It is odd. After delivering a system that will play the games and even offer a performance boost on them, it's kinda strange that they couldn't get the new camera compatible with the old device.
On the flip side, the adaptors free. It'll save me money on getting the new camera until the PSVR 2 comes out.

Why would anybody be waiting til January to receive their console if they have a pre order secured?
Bugsnax was delayed, but that won't hold up anyone's console from being delivered for launch.

My phone doesn't have an analogue stick or buttons for games.
It was merely a question relating to keeping an existing portable device fully compatibility with PS 5 and not having the feature be made obsolete
I wonder if it will do remote play with the PS 5. This was a great feature for the PS 3 & 4
