It is cheaper to develop an online multiplayer mode than to develop a long single player campaign. Personally, I care much more for the single player campaign, but it seems I am minority right now.
Considering he sells games everywhere but in consoles, I think we may consider his opinion biased.
Smart companies don't compete in price. Iwata-san seems to be a smart CEO. Therefore, I wouldn't expect a price cut before the holidays.
Record label executives are usually asses. Kotick seems to be ready to move to the music industry.
Any product has strengths and weakness. What this list does is showing that some market leaders have weakness and presenting a an alternative product in which that feature is particularly well implemented. However, in all cases I am knowledgeable enough to comment, the author seems to ignore that the features he describes are not important to the success in that market and thus his arguments are irrelevant.
This kind of delusion would be funny, if it wasn't so sad...
I really hope this game will be good. However, I believe hope is the best I ever have...
The title is strongly biased by placing words out of context and suggesting a something was never said by the interviewed. Houser never said GTA wouldn't be natural on the Wii. He rather said Rockstar believed the DS and not the Wii would be the natural progression to be followed.
So NBA 09 got a four. Considering the typical improvement EA Sports give to their games each year, we should expect a reasonably good basketball game by 2018.
Kombo still don't get a basic economic principle, which is, price is not correlated with fabrication cost but rather with the willingness to pay of the customer. Microsoft is trying to win customers through price, which is rarely a good business strategy. I would rather have higher quality standards.
Agent Under Fire is not a good replacement for Goldeneye but the worst offender is not having the original Doom in their list. Doom was a revolution and still compares well in terms of level design for an action oriented game.
One thing is Nintendo avoid Mario over exposition in the media. Another thing is to retire the most recognisable character in the industry that has an image compared to Mickey Mouse. The first idea is an example of good management, the later a statement of sheer stupidity.
It will kill the Wii in the same way Manhunt 2 did a year ago. Not my kind of game, but I am surprised tabloids are not more inventive in wasting the public attention.
It is true that perfection will never be reached and, as such, it should not be expected in a title graded as ten. However, I still think game reviewers are too generous and most AAA games get their scores inflated through hype.
It is just a question of money. They will not need to spent much resources to fit RE5 in RE4 engine and thus making a lot of money. Specially because the series is a proven seller in the Wii and not tested in the PS3 and Xbox 360.
Considering how poor were the reviews of this game, I wouldn't be surprised if the delay is not to re-work much of the code to improve the product.
I'll be very surprised if this is not a fake. Nintendo will definitely make a big announcement when they have the product ready. Also, it will be white to fit with Wii's design.
Probably because it is cheaper to have creativity at the PR department than to develop creative games.
Microsoft, as usual, careful choose their numbers to support their story. So we should compare the game sales of an already established console against two new competitors? This hardly make any sense. However, comparing the first 20 months of each console, the Wii's third party sales beats the XBox 360's, despite the presence of the competition < http://www.gamedaily.com/ar....
Actually, Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes are being ported to the Wii among Pikmin as part of a discount line of GameCube games with Wii controls.
