There are probably alot of variables that came into play in the decision at the time. COD had/has a bigger install-base on the Xbox 360. Modern Warfare 2 would not have had quite as big of a launch had it been exclusive to PS3. Also, 360 fans would be in too much of an uproar and would demand the game be made for 360 as well. Look at how PC gamers are angry at their decisions...
Maybe with all the PC gamers giving bad reviews, that will make up for all the overly-generous ones.

This philosophy of lesser hardware and more casual games like Wii Fit etc will only last as long as the Wii itself. Killzone 2 was definitely NOT a disappointment.
I played Brawl, RE4, Twilight Princess, and No More Heroes. And the reasons to "hate on" Brawl, No More Heroes, and to a slightly lesser extent Zelda are definitely there. Smash Bros. Brawl pales in comparison to its predecessor, the reviews for The Conduit would make any consumer think twice before buying, Resident Evil 4 was 5 years ago, No More Heroes was trash, Zelda was pretty fun but not nearly as good as it was in the old days, and Madworld, well, that's probably pretty fun too but the black and white doesn't appeal to me.
