Pretty funny read.
Developers are gonna have to spend more time to carefuly implement the 3D aspect of their games. If they mess up and the game causes people headaches and stuff, Or if the wrong objects pop out at you and it ends up looking cheap, they are gonna have a real hard time.
I do kind of have the same reservations myself about the new environments. It IS cliche in my opinion to have the extremes of jungle and arctic levels in the same game. They can probably make up for that though if they make sure the story is really polished and engaging.
And as for the cover system, if they say it will be refined then it probably will be a little better than in KZ2, which was admittedly a little rough feeling. It's not necessary for multiplayer, but in si...
IGN is out of line about the controls. It's not their place to say the Killzone series, which only the hardcore fans have supported this whole time, should now suddently be compromised to suit Call of Duty players.
For those who want a sci-fi shooter with great graphics, but don't like Killzone controls, remember that you still have Crysis 2 coming. Don't be selfish; theres good enough variety out there in the shooter genre for everyone to have a personal prefere...
As a Shenmue title, the very fact that it would be in development at all would almost certainly correctly imply that they would be going all out to make the game at a graphical level of Uncharted 2, KZ2, etc etc.
The "larger market" advantage of catering to both systems might not be so great for a game that is already of "niche"/"cult&a mp;q uot; status. Pushing the limit of the PS3 to make a game unsurpassed on a high technical level would get attent...
I would really like a new Dino Crisis, I just don't think Capcom has the ability to do it justice. The first game played like Resident Evil 1 and 2 (and I don't mean only control-wise) and I think they should continue that tradition. Otherwise, if they don't make it scary and suspenseful with emphasis on tension, it would become just like Resident Evil 5 or worse. If someone from Capcom is reading this, and if you guys really are working on Dino Crisis, just hire me part time to h...
Gotta have Killzone 2 man.
How about throw in something simple as well...like trophy support?
Every developer should be using PS3 as their lead platform at this stage.
The Lost Planet 2 demo was beyond garbage. Need to make better games dude...unless you want to be part of the problem.
5 dollars would've been more reasonable.
For a game like Killzone 2 to use 3D like they say they are working on..the sacrifice in detail and possible decrease in resolution is highly undesirable. Best they put all their effort into making Killzone 3 fully 3D without such degradation in visual quality instead of working uphill to make a passable Killzone 2 in 3D. I know Sony execs may like the idea of it but best to not risk cheapening such a phenomenal game. Gotta see those crisp textures.
Fitting that the first game to lack a manual will be that Shaun White Skatboarding game. Skate 3 is the new king; everything else pales in comparison.
HHG's work is far better than Bungie's. Get angry when he misrepresents a good company instead.
Working on the Bayonetta platinum now, and the story is garbage. Just had to tell someone. Half baked wannabe Kid Icarus chickensh1t bullsh1t.
"At least in the top 3" "best looking" games on each console he says. I give more weight to this statement than I do the storyline writer's comments.
Nintendo's next console won't sell like the Wii for the following reasons:
1) The technology Nintendo "innovated" this gen is now done better on the other platforms.
2) People won't be satisfied with such a miniscule graphical leap again, and grandparents etc won't see the point in buying another system that is the exact same as the Wii.
3) The people now understand what they can expect from Nintendo, especially in terms of online gaming, and they won't be t...
The moment the PS3 slim went on sale you could tell that the tide had turned.
Good game but vastly overrated, as seen here. It deserves a high 7 or flat 8 instead. Plenty of things bring the score down for me, like: horrible framerate slowdown when alot of things are going on at once or during explosions, non-existent story, gotta play through the same boring 5 levels 4 times each in total to get the platinum, one of those levels being an annoying swamp level that is more tedious and frustrating than fun to play. The way you play the game is just too intertwined with w...
