I still need to play the 2nd but Wrath to the White Witch was one of my favourite PS3 games.
I hear a lot of mixed opinions on the 2nd, however I feel that was always going to be the case when it was announced Studio Ghibli had no involvement
I can't get my head around everyone say g it's so different.
For the first time ever individual guns feel different but the game is still the same.
There's still dodgy hit boxes, Killstreaks, spawn camping and no scope sniping.
I definitely wasn't impressed by the beta and I've lost all intention to buy it so I'm going to skip it now
And yet Telltale games were well regarded. They had fantastic stories and quite bad gameplay.
No I think a bad narrative should certainly effect a games review if that's one of the criteria the game has.
There's some very poor games that have decent gameplay but there's just no drive behind the purpose
I appreciate Planet Zoo being so far up the list as other sites seem to be glossing over it. It also probably my most anticipated with Death Stranding
And I'm skipping most of them. Wow I think I'm getting old... or maybe jaded on the same stuff over and over.
Death Stranding, Hollow Knight Silksong, Planet Zoo, Luigis Mansion 3 are my choices for the rest of the year.
Although Doom Eternal is probably going to be great too
My thoughts exactly. The Alpha peaked my interest. I liked the kick off the weapons and the new flow.
Then the beta came along and had all the same typical CoD Hitboxes with spawn camping and Killstreaks so I lost all interest again.
Wasn't this joke already done in Borderlands 2?
They've genuinely changed how the guns feel. In older games they all just seemed like different skins of the same thing.
But the game is still the same. Spawn Killing, Killstreaks, Bad Hitboxes. It's a serious pass from me aswell.
This "whole new COD" we've been hearing about is bullshit
The humour counts for far more than 1% of Borderlands genes though. Borderlands 2's best weapon was a shotgun that screamed insults when you pulled the trigger. The series boss fights are all the same bullet sponges but their comedy value makes them passable, Everyone favourite characters? Tiny Tina or Claptrap because they're funny (some may say Moxxi for the sex appeal I guess) without the crazy humour and pop culture references Borderlands would have been long forgotten the same wa...
Is this why the NDA of review copies said reviewers were not allowed to mention DX12 then?!
I can't help but think Borderlands humour is it's whole shtick though. I genuinely feel without it's humour it becomes the most bland and mundane of games.
I adore Metal Gear and I can't wait for Death Stranding but I'll be referring to it as Metal Gear Postman from now on ha
I use the Switch solely in handheld mode but I do think the tiny buttons and placement are a bit crap. I can use them but they aren't great. More like just putting up with what I'm given
It was largely the lack of a good narrative and any interesting sidequests that made me hate Fallout 4
Over the last few years we have seem all Ubisofts games nearly morph into one
This is exactly the impression I got from the trailer and exactly what I hoped it wouldn't be
Playing Borderlands 2 I used a couple of Shift keys I'd gotten around level 12 for some weapons that hours later I was still using over the weapons I was finding the whole way up to level 20. Effectively making the loot useless. I'm sure at some stage the guns I'd find would have been better but I got so bored I had to stop playing the game.
Yeah because online lobbies, in game chat and mature content clearly have no influence on a game!
Nintendos game library is accessible for everyone in that their age rating and family orientation are broad. However their mature content leaves a lot to be desired.
I couldn't ever see myself with a Nintendo console as my primary or only platform. While i love my Switch, Nintendo has so much to catch up on with the Industry it's crazy. Basic features are still non existent when it comes to Nintendo. Their online infrastructure is a joke.
